I've thought about trying to do the same but I don't have the slightest clue about designing and a-arm front suspension....I've got some old 8" fox coilers floating around from an old S-10 prerunner I had back in the day... They got 800# springs on them. That truck was 6" wider per side with a custom built upper/lower/spindle and dealers out back. It would pull 15" of travelDefinitely, that's the solution. I'm currently designing my own upper and lower arms that will be fabbed up after Christmas so I'm probably gonna have to buy like a 10" stroke coilover for each side lol only if it fits or I'll do 8" stroke
That looks SICK!!! If you go that route you gonna sell your Baja Kits?
Me either I'm just taking advantage of using my truck for my senior design before I graduate for mechanical engineering because we have to do a group project lol. Honestly the +3's would be perfect if the lower mount was pushed out.I've thought about trying to do the same but I don't have the slightest clue about designing and a-arm front suspension....I've got some old 8" fox coilers floating around from an old S-10 prerunner I had back in the day... I was doing some research and came across how the new bronco and ranger share a lot of the same components. The Bronco upper arms seem to be about 1" longer than the ranger stock for stock and share the same mounting locations. I wondering if the baja kits bronco arms could get maybe another inch wider per side? I know the bronco has a longer coilover because the spring buckets sit taller in them tho so Idk if could possibly gain some more travel testing that. But that would be a lot of money for "testing" lolMe either I'm just taking advantage of using my truck for my senior design before I graduate for mechanical engineering because we have to do a group project lol. I designed the upper and a classmate did the lower. Supposedly they had a laser scanner for us to use so I was going to scan the entire stock suspension and knuckle and frame but we weren't able to scan it.I was doing some research and came across how the new bronco and ranger share a lot of the same components. Yea if you could get a scan I bet that would make it easier. There was a thread on here a guy was taking measurements and pics side by side comparisons of the bronco/ranger control arms. I was looking up the M210 front diff and found his thread. He claimed the had same mounting points and stuff. I just don't know if like I called up Baja Kits and asked if their Bronco control arms would work on the ranger they'd probably say no. Idk if it would be worth it to drop that kind of money and not have a definite answer.I designed the upper and a classmate did the lower. I initially had a little different design of the upper with a strike pad for bump stop cans but I didn't find enough room in the engine bay I mean even the +3 bajakits uppers hit the engine bay sheet metal now. So I removed the strike pad and changed the arm to be stronger. I did analysis on the arm with the strike pad hitting 60 m/s and it had little deformation like .002" but I honestly just don't want to cut up the engine bay and rearrange stuff.
I do know they both use I believe the T6 platform but I'm not entirely sure about the mounting points. You know I had the same thoughts but with the rear like man I would love to put that rear link suspension but the travel numbers just don't justify it.
I'm running 285/75r16 but I'll put 315/75r16 when I'm done with the project, I can clear 37's with the fiberglass I just can't justify buying new 17" wheels and 500 a tire for the ko2's range C at the rate I spin my tires lol.I would like to be able to push the front wheel a little forward to clear the rear of the fenders with the larger tire. I'm only on a 285/70 tire and I still get some rubbing on the rear of my front fenders sometimes with my 0 offset methods.
yea when my current tires wear out I plan on probably going to 315/70/17 tireI'm running 285/75r16 but I'll put 315/75r16 when I'm done with the project, I can clear 37's with the fiberglass I just can't justify buying new 17" wheels and 500 a tire for the ko2's range C at the rate I spin my tires lol.
The ICON 2.5 front coilovers come with a 650 lb spring....off the shelf other brands use 500 to 600 lb. springs...King would be best route for a heavier spring and longer stroke length... custom build and $$$$.....I'm only running a mid travel APG / ICON adjustable Damping setup...The ICON leaf spring pack and ICON 2.5 piggy backs with ICON bump stops handled my last desert bombing runs very well....about as far as you can go with off the shelf bolt ons....a fabricated linked system would be the next level....How do you like the ride of your suspension? This is basically the exact suspension setup I plan on moving too. Right now I have the Icon "stage 2" with their tubular upper 2.5 coilover and whatever basic shock they include with that kit. I'm looking for a better ride offload especially in the rear. I live in the AZ desert and like bombing offroad. I am impressed how the current setup rides but I know there is a lot of room for improvement!

I have the 5100 Kit Currently with the stock springs, How did the baja kits handle with the 5100 kit and eibach springs. Im considering getting that kit but I wont be able to buy the shocks for a bit, I'll also need to get Fiber glass lolI have the Bajakits LT kit. I kept the 5100's and put the 3" lift eibach coils.

I just ordered the icon extended travel 2.5 coilovers with remote resis and adjustable compression damping. The Kings and fox are on backorder so I went with icon so it should only take a few days.
If there wasn't a backorder I would have went with kings because of the bypasses and bump stops, but all of that is not available I guess.
It looks like the LT kit was made to use oem replacement extended travel coilovers so I'm assuming not to use bigger than a 6" stroke on the bypasses. I've only found kings to have that but since I went with icon I'll stay with digressive pistons so either icon or bilstein. I might go with the bilstein hydraulic bump stops as well.
Haha i used my income tax refund and bonus to buy the bajakits man I get it.I have the 5100 Kit Currently with the stock springs, How did the baja kits handle with the 5100 kit and eibach springs.
