You starting a jeep project? I'd like to have a clean rust free TJ (if there is such thing) to drop a 3 liter MB diesel in.

Yeah, but they have wave and ducks they give out.

What do rangers have? Besides dignity I mean.

Certainly not empty pockets
Sorry, I just checked financing on my truck.... I'll have nearly empty pockets for a while... And this place doesn't help any.

Yes it does.

And the cost is a no-brainer.

A tow dolly is $45 for 1 day and the auto hauler is $55 for one day.

Worked great for my trip.
That is downright upright. Are those prices for one way drop off or is that extra?

This one is as close to rust free as I've found.

Zero rust in the tub and just some surface rust on the frame.

One I looked at was a 20/20 Jeep.

It looked good from 20 feet away or 20 minutes before dark.

The frame was almost cracked in half at one point and the seller wasn't aware of it. If they truly were aware of it and just trying to pawn it off, their reaction when I pointed it out was Oscar worthy.

That is picking up and dropping off at the same location.

I'm sure one way would be more expensive.

Every time I think I will be taxing this truck's abilities, it impresses me.

It still astounds me what a "little 4 banger" can do.....
My neighbor bought a Taco about 4 months ago. He's a good dude so I would never bust his balls about it. (New neighborhood and we aren't beer drinking talking smack friends.) But when I was over there looking at it and complimenting his truck, he made the comment that he just wanted a mid-size truck and it had to be a 6 cylinder. I laughed... on the inside. No doubt when I finally get my Ranger home he'll think I made a huge mistake.

The guy at work who over paid for his taco keeps telling what a mistake myv4 banger with turbo is... As he keeps changing the tune on his taco to try and make it drive the way he wants it to....

Aren't enough tunes in the world to fix the drive train in a freaking Taco. But they do get that awesome seating position.

I get the sentiment, but people need to drive both, IMO. I've said this a lot on here, but when I was deciding which truck to buy, I test drove a Tacoma - I REALLY wanted to like it - I really did. But I just could not get past the horrible drive train - the seating position never bothered me, but maybe that is because I didn't drive it long enough.

It is amazing what the turbo mated to the 10 speed can do. It is an excellent pairing I think.

I get what you mean. Before the Ranger I had a 2016 Frontier with the 4.0 V6 and the 5 speed Auto. In general it was a great truck for my needs at the time. Comparing to Toyota I just could not see myself in a Taco what so ever. Drove a few and said no. Even my oldest brother said they feel too much like a car. When the Ranger came out I was definitely curious how it would do with the Powertrain combination. I ended up getting mine just over 3 years ago without test driving one(it was an interesting day) and for the time I had it I can say it was also a nice truck. Of course like anything else I found stuff I did not like, but that didnt stop me from driving it

Never considered a Taco so when the Ranger came out I was back in a truck. Don't care for the look of the Taco.
It's funny, I prefer the look of the taco to the ranger... In my mind the ranger looks like they took a Ford taurus puffed it up and added a bed instead of a trunk....

That said, it functions better in the areas I really cared about... after market support isn't bad, payload and towing are good, drive train has been reliable (except for the handful of vibrator out there). The only thing I wanted that no one offered when I ordered my truck was a hybrid mid-size truck, think powerboost. That would have been perfect for me.

I am also coming from a forester, something I bought for function not looks... I mean, I gotta say, I think it looked just right once I lifted it (2"), added a roof rack, lights, bigger tires, exhaust and upgraded the stereo and speakers. But at that point it wasn't a subaru, it was a wannabe truck...

^in its various stages... The bottom right was its final form.... The front lights changed from cheap Amazon lights to lasfit fogs, the ditch lights went from rigid spot cubes to baja floods and the roof rack was a load warrior skinny with a bike and kayak mount next to it...

I didn't have a choice back in 2016 as the Ranger wasn't out yet. When I moved out here I no no use for an F150 anymore and seeing as the Tacoma had such a great history I bought one. It probably was is the worst vehicle I've ever owned and I've had many. I think by now most know my feelings about the 3rd Gen Tacoma but just in case the newbies haven't read my old post. :puke::puke:?
