Turn off lows when high beams on?

Searching only seems to yield me results about either LED bulbs or the lariats auto/dim bs.

Onto the question, is there a way to turn off the low beams when the high beams are on? I've never been a fan of lows staying on as I use high beams, I use them with the intention of focusing farther down the road than what's immediately around my corners.

Low beams are off when high are on...unless you did the "Bambi" mode in Forscan like I did...

Mine stay on, nothing was changed on my part. Been like this since I took delivery.
(And to clarify; I never used forscan)

On my 2019 I noticed the lows stayed on with hogh beams. If not mistaken this is considered normal operation when the high and low are seperate bulbs. Why you ask? Probably to have best light output(not counting extra lights or Bambi mode)

Unless I am mistaken, there is only one LED lamp per side. The high and low beam selection is controlled by a mechanical shutter assembly that blocks part of the light when in the low beam position.

That is true for the OEM LED Assemblies. The aftermarket have 2 or 3 per side depending

on my F150, the lows would stay on with the high beams regardless of direction of the lever. The beam pattern of the 13th gen F150 was garbage so quad lights helped in that case


On these rangers, the high beam pattern goes forward far enough while still hitting the corners. However again my lows remain on, kind of reducing my ability to focus in the distance.


I'm using the high beams to see what's down the road or highway, not that pothole I'm about to run over know what I mean?

First quick flashes were me pulling backward on lever.
Extended stay was normally engagement of highbeams.



I turned off the fogs to help my potato phone focus, fogs turn off with highs as intended.

ygetyep and this is normal. Don't like ir? Well you might want to consider a vehicle that has the high and low combine as one or get yourself a set of Lariat Assemblies.
