So true.

And to top it all off, CVT goes and has a clearance sale on discontinued tents and awning they're trying to dump... $125-150 for 4.5" and 8ft awnings.

I really need to get my oem wheels and spacers up on here so I can keep my wife calm as these packages keep arriving on my porch.
I have not changed my shipping address to the office, nope that's not me I would never do that...

Getting busy in my first week of ownership!

Aside from heat, we've got an abundance of something else in the desert; rocks. I was kind of surprised that Ford left this AC condenser coil exposed, however, the Putco lower grille should keep larger stones from bouncing into this opening.

I ordered a neoprene armrest cover from eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/183822264074) - fits well! "The Ship's Captain" enjoys a routine of starting the truck with remote start, and then shutting the truck down by twisting the key and letting the computer know he's out of his car seat. I figured a little protection during this phase of his life will keep the arm rest fresh from his shoes.

I also performed a DIY ceramic coating with Adam's Polishes UV Ceramic Paint Coating. Here's a link to my Review and writeup on the product -lots more pics!: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/adams-uv-ceramic-paint-coating-diy-review.22150/

Chase light install just about done. Finished some wiring inside tomorrow. Outside is running and brake, one in is turn hazard, they have a strobe mode for off-road, and middle is reverse light. Figured since my third brake light is covered why not.

Completed my version of a 30,000 mile service this weekend.

Air Filter
Oil/Filter Change
Trans Drain&Fill (3qts)
Differential D&F
Tire Rotation
New Sparkplugs

Going forward it gives me an idea of where I'd extend some things out longer, such as the air filter and differential change. Although next year will be the first full year with the camper so the diff may well stay at 30,000 miles.

There’s dust but not that much and I haven’t even installed all rubber molding on cab wall (Still waiting on bed liner). As for water it comes in at cab wall where molding is missing only when I wash it and a little at vent on roof(when I wash it) Can’t really say much about rain I live in so cal (never really rains hard here) and its always covered when parked. Also I periodically tighten all the bolts connecting the panels.

Not the most exciting mod, but one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. Took out the back seat and strapped down a kennel to go pick up a puppy tomorrow morning. Travel companion level unlocked ?

Hey, Dan, I am also thinking of taking out the back seat of my Super Crew. I notice that you took out not just the seat but also the rear upholstery. That gives you more room, which is what I want as well. Are there any drawbacks to taking the upholstery out, such as increased noise in the cabin or exposed wires, etc.?

Honestly I tried 303 Graphene based on a earlier post here and I normally use Turtle wax Ice Seal and shine Hybrid. I put one on left side of the hood and the other on the other side. I could not tell the difference. Also beading up was the same. The turtle wax is easier to use though. Longevity it is hard to tell yet.

Now that said I keep my truck pretty good to begin with. I wash and wax allot. I do also use a clay bar a couple times a year. So possibly 303 Graphene might be better on vehicles that need more restoring hard to tell but for me I saw no difference so far.

I am going to give it another shot this week because it is warm and might be my last before winter. I am going to do one side with one and the other side with the other.

Do not get me wrong I think Graphene did a great job and 303 makes great products and easier than waxing but as of right now the Turtle wax ice is easier. There is no buffing need. Plus the spray bottle on the 303 does not work but I see now they have a problem with their spray bottles.

It did do a great job on your truck and the person who posted a little earlier. shows up nice in pictures.
Holy cow, no buffing needed? I'm gonna take a look at that Turtle wax ice!

For me, the graphene was as easy as I'd expect. Granted, the last time I did any of this was in the 1980's with old Turtle wax.

But I'm always game to learn more. =)

Initiated myself into club 303 Graphene. So. Much. Rubbing. I also Graphene’d my iPhone, why not?
I think it added 20% to my battery meter.

wax on.
ACEBD5DC-874C-4AF9-B8B9-F7B3B6337CC7.jpeg

I covered pretty much everything but the tires and the Tremor leg graters.

wax off.
C1051981-19F7-4C7C-90D5-15808E421256.jpeg

Yeah, I am impressed.

I also graphene’d my hands. Won’t come off, too tired to care.
The graphene made Kate's finger nails really brittle. So we got cheap gloves and stopped that. Plus I spray with the nozzle pressed against the applicator. But the sweat filled gloves was pretty disgusting and I'm pretty relaxed about how thorough I was (now Kate's a detailing nut).
