So it would only work with an Internet connection, or an internal navigation app?They get the speed limits thru GPS location. Waze and Google Maps already show the posted speed limit on the map. It goes red if you exceed the limit.

Mandatory? More subscription fees? Who pays if you don't want the navigation stuff? Sounds like an invitation to the safety nazis to mandate a Google / Waze subscription and a smartphone just to drive your car. (or worse...)
I have no issues if it's an opt-in system, and doesn't add cost, burden or risk to those who don't want it.
