The problem I have had with buying the warranty is the dealership only showing me the premium plan with the most mileage and years. I only drive around 5500 miles a year, split between two vehicles, so I am not getting back what I paid in. I took a look at Flood’s pricing and they have a plan that is perfect for me. If my dealership won’t match it I will buy from Flood.
I think the quote tool at granger shows you all the options and mileages to alow you to make the choice.

I think @Cheryl's real question is 'Is it worth it?"

I have been considering this as well, and in my opinion I think it is dependent on how long you are planning on owning the truck. I have decided not to pull the trigger right now, as I am waiting to see what the roadmap is for a hybrid Ranger.
I did it simply because of two things. The turbo and amount of electronic parts (computer related) that weren't in vehicles not too many years back.
Yep, I fully understand that it's a bet/wager/crapshoot.
Going without is the very same bet/wager/crapshoot.
It's an individual's comfort choice, and no more.
With all that nonsense said, I plan on this being my last truck and driving it til the wheels fall off.

We should start a poll. How many used their extended warranty for something worth while.

My truck got to the dealer on Monday. Took three weeks from Michigan to Des Moine.

My plan is to fly and drive on 10/1. That will make it eight months from order to delivery.

Hoping this last stage goes well.
Picking up from Granger? I'm flying in to pick mine up on 10/7.

I have used mine twice on my Taurus. Once to replace the wiper washer motor and once to replace the driver side mirror.

I have needed it once. But then again, what they fixed didn't cost anywhere near what the extended warranty cost.
My wife has voted no this round.

Yes. My truck came in with a scratch on the taillight and the side of the front bumper. They were transparent about it. Nothing to be upset about. They're waiting for a new taillight. Still hoping to pick it up 10/1. We'll see, maybe we'll end up there the same time?

Started a poll for use of extended warranty. ;)

They haven't contacted me -- I just saw today via the order tracker it's at the dealer being prepped for delivery. I should probably call today while I still have the first 24 hours to cancel non-refundable tickets.

When did they contact you to say your truck was in?

I spent a bit over 6K in service and parts for my 2015 Ram after it hit 90K on the clock. No extended warranty.
If I had it to do again, I'd do it differently, and I did.

Got the Ford notice on Monday. Granger reached out Tuesday.

Just buy it from Flood, all dealers have to honor it when you need warranty work.

My dealership arrival date got pushed back a week, per Ford email today. Supposed to arrive this week. Oh well.
So I wonder if our trucks are on the same rail car? We were scheduled for delivery between September 28th through October 5th. Last update I got was on the 13th and it was in Peoria Illinois.

I just got it home. I got it for the order price and they were able to find $1,750 in additional rebates.
