I think it does add some protection but nothing like a Ceramic Coating would. I do 3 coats of the Graphene Nano spray which is the max they recommend followed by 1 coat of the Graphene Detailer. The detailer really brings out the shine and slickness and it also has a small amount of graphene in it which adds a little more protection each time you apply it. I use that every 4-5 weeks where the Nano spray will lat up to 1 year.Your second photo really shows the depth of the shine. Ugh, I must stop resisting! =D
So do you also find it provides a bit of protection? The videos always say this but it's hard to imagine it can do much. AND ... I also see that it helps to dissipate heat. From a physical science point, I can understand that BUT, at such a small amount of graphene in the product, is it anything that you can notice?
Being in the heat that you have, do you think that's true?
I wouldn't expect a multiple degree difference, more of a tiny bit of blunting of the surface temperature.
Thanks on the continued education on this! I just need to wrap my head around this as the new way to "wax" a car (since the last time I did wax a car was 30 years ago with a metal tin of Turtle Wax!!). =p
I kid you not, this is exactly what I remember as the last wax I used:

I've seen the claims about the heat but really out here it's so hot I can't tell. I guess if you had a laser temp reader you could do a before and after to see? Honestly even if it was 1-2 degrees it wouldn't make much of a difference here when it's 110+. That's be like throwing a lawn chair off the Queen Mary to try and save weight. ?
I was a die hard paste wax guy too, always used either Mothers or Meguiar's paste wax. This is so much easier to apply and remove just don't let it dry to long, 5-10 minutes at most depending on temps and humidity. I've tried several other spray waxes and while they were good nothing would last more than 6 months out here until I tried this stuff. You should do it before winter, Soupie will look great! ?
