Your second photo really shows the depth of the shine. Ugh, I must stop resisting! =D

So do you also find it provides a bit of protection? The videos always say this but it's hard to imagine it can do much. AND ... I also see that it helps to dissipate heat. From a physical science point, I can understand that BUT, at such a small amount of graphene in the product, is it anything that you can notice?

Being in the heat that you have, do you think that's true?

I wouldn't expect a multiple degree difference, more of a tiny bit of blunting of the surface temperature.

Thanks on the continued education on this! I just need to wrap my head around this as the new way to "wax" a car (since the last time I did wax a car was 30 years ago with a metal tin of Turtle Wax!!). =p

I kid you not, this is exactly what I remember as the last wax I used:

And before that ...

I think it does add some protection but nothing like a Ceramic Coating would. I do 3 coats of the Graphene Nano spray which is the max they recommend followed by 1 coat of the Graphene Detailer. The detailer really brings out the shine and slickness and it also has a small amount of graphene in it which adds a little more protection each time you apply it. I use that every 4-5 weeks where the Nano spray will lat up to 1 year.

I've seen the claims about the heat but really out here it's so hot I can't tell. I guess if you had a laser temp reader you could do a before and after to see? Honestly even if it was 1-2 degrees it wouldn't make much of a difference here when it's 110+. That's be like throwing a lawn chair off the Queen Mary to try and save weight. ?

I was a die hard paste wax guy too, always used either Mothers or Meguiar's paste wax. This is so much easier to apply and remove just don't let it dry to long, 5-10 minutes at most depending on temps and humidity. I've tried several other spray waxes and while they were good nothing would last more than 6 months out here until I tried this stuff. You should do it before winter, Soupie will look great! ?

There must be a drive thru car wash when he exits the dump.
Now that could be a money maker!

Yeah, I'd like to think I'm frugal and/or environmental regarding car washing (but I'm not because I water the yard despite our current partial drought and state recommendation to not water). BUT ... I'm just lazy about car washing (it's been raining for 2 days now, seems like that's good enough). =D

It's only a few months old, so I think that's the reason for the shine. I didn't even have the dealer wash it and it had rail yard mud on the rockers for a few weeks (I haven't even used a mitt on that, just pressure washer).

If you pass your hand over it, you can feel the little sap drops (maybe half the size of a grain of sand). I can't see them on the red but you can see them on the mirror caps, grill, and door handles (and inside too after leaving the windows fully open, bah!).

For the three washes, I did use Kärcher's Vehicle Wash and Wax but never dry it and you can see water spots at the right angle. This stuff's not particularly seen as a "professional detailer's" soap (Kate uses Mr. Pink, but I'm not that fancy). I think Karcher's is similar to what's used at coin-op car washes.

Thanks again for the details, I didn't really understand what the detailer does or when to use it, but I understand now (thanks to you and your patience!).

And you're so right about winter!

I hadn't even thought of that and the nasty road grime. They've started using that funky smelling beet juice and salt brine stuff on many of the roads and that stuff is nasty (it really does smell, even at sub-freezing temps, yuck).

Okay, I think my thumb's officially been removed from my posterior and now I have the right motivation to finally do this (resistance was truly futile). =D

It will bring out the depth of the red and really make it shiny and slicker especially if you use the Graphene detailer after. Mine had a nice shine but nothing like this after using the Graphene Nano spray then a quick hit with the detailer.

Ugh... I didn't come here for car cleaning tips. I was happy with my oversized milk crate full of McGuiars Ultimate line products. And yet, I now find my Amazon cart currently filled with 303 products after I could see up the reflection of your nose in your picture. ?

Do you recommend 303 car wash and synthetic clay mitt as well?? May as well round out my order and give it all a shot. Lol

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Meguiar's Products. I used all Meguiar's stuff on my car for years and the shine was unbelievable.

I know! I've been happy with all but one of their more recent products. It's likely more of an issue with the archer, not the bow.

But I'm always game to try a new product and see if it works better for me.

Hang on a minute... i only skimmed the forum rules when i joined - was I supposed to grow a mustache? I may be unworthy of sitting amongst the ranks here...any mustache I try to grow is "creepy flesh colored" and would likely draw negative attention. May be time for me to take my leave and spare all of you the shame and disappointment.

Uh, it’s just a truck, not a beauty queen. Ceramic coating for a protection against bird poop, road grime and for winter snow/ice and salt. I drove 6000 km within 45 days, it was a lot of bugs to rub off daily. Protection is mandatory for me. Planned to do it before winter. After that only good wash.
Today did nothing with my Ranger. I wait the spider in it to starve to death. It’s day 3 for now.
