2022 Ranger Lariat - With my fob in my pocket, I can walk up to my front passenger door, put my fingers inside the door handle, and all four doors unlock. If I try that with my driver's side front door handle, all unlock except the drivers side rear door. I checked both rear doors to see if the two slots on each door (one facing into the truck and one on the back edge of the door) are oriented the same, and they are. It's a puzzlement!

That's odd.

What if you unlock from the fob?

Good question. One press of the unlock button on my fob opens only the drivers door. Two quick presses unlocks all doors. That’s how it is supposed to work.

That’s a strange one. What if you touch the inside of the drivers door handle a couple times in a row? That’s not the way it should work, just curious if it will eventually unlock it.
Sounds like a trip to the dealership is in your future.

I tried that. No change. It remains that a single touch on the front passenger door unlocks all doors whereas a single touch on the drivers door omits unlocking the rear driver's side door.

It’s acting the same as the day I bought it new this past February. It’s always bugged me but just now I’m trying to find out why.

Something over the network is not working. You could reset it by disconnecting the battery for a while and reconnecting it. There is no setting you can change that has this result. If the battery thing doesn’t fix it, let the dealership fix it. It’s under warranty. If it were out of pocket or a simple setting, that is worth the driveway repair.

Things seem to have changed... the 4/3 action I repeated three times to make sure. Then I started checking and unchecking things in the Locks section. Everything is checked so I just now tried unchecking things I don't understand like 'Mislock' (whaaa???) and 'Switches Inhibit' (say again?).
Now, using my hand with my fob in my pocket, gripping the drivers door unlocks either the drivers door only or both front doors, but does not unlock the rear doors. Gripping the passenger front door handle unlocks everything. When I need to get to the passenger side back seat, it's nice to grip the front passenger handle and open the rear passenger door. Can't do that on the driver's side.

I have no answers for you, but you keep referring to 4 doors. The tailgate should be in the mix too. How does it unlock? How does it fit into your odd combinations.

When you touch the drivers door and the rear drivers door does not unlock, are you absolutely certain the passenger side doors are unlocking? Does the tailgate unlock also?

There is a setting (which you seem to have set) where the first touch of the unlock will unlock only the driver door, the second touch unlocks the other three (plus tailgate). If that setting is enabled, a touch of the driver door handle will only unlock that door, however a touch of the passenger door will unlock all four.

FYI I do not have this setting, as I like to have a single press, or a single handle touch, unlock all four doors. You might try changing to this setting, test things out. If you like the driver door unlocked first only, then change it back. It is possible that could reset something.

Otherwise, you have some weird setting going on :frown:

I would like the same. But I don't know what setting does that.

I've checked and unchecked them all can't seem to change the action I've described.

I have the choice of
Autolock (checked)
Autounlock (checked)
Mislock (checked)
Remote Unlock (I haven't chased this)
Switches Inhibit (checked)
