Hello All,

New here, Ranger Lariat Super Crew- Cactus Grey
After waiting 6 months my 22 Ranger Lariat is now built and setting in rail yard waiting for shipment, I now have copy of window sticker showing the Led Headlamp/Fog Lamp Delete as well, I called corporate and have talked to my local dealer as far as getting more than a 500.00 credit as these headlights cost 3 times as much to replace with factory Led Units. After Markets just over double.
They will not budge I hate to walk away. (First new Car/Truck for me)
My question is, has anyone actually taken ownership of the Ranger, with the deleted LED's.
What housing do you get. XLT (Reflector) Halogens or Lariat (Projector) housing modified with Halogens instead of the Led's? Online parts search shows the Part with a breakdown of Halogen Bulbs in what appears to be a (Projector Style) housing.
Corporate, Dealer and Parts Department does not know as my Vin # is not in the system yet to get the build sheet specs.

So much content has been removed since I bought my 2019 Lariat that I wouldn't even consider a 2020-2023 Ranger. 2024????

Besides, I have a boat load invested in Ford and aftermarket accessories....

My 2020 Chrysler 300s 5.7 is mostly loaded, has rare options and was purchased at a good price. I still want the options my car doesn't have - 2023 is the last year to be built - I'm still debating....

Pretty sure you're getting the halogen lights. Same as what they build the XLT,XL and STX with. I have them in mine and no, they're not LED but they do work! I do plan on swapping mine out at some point for aftermarket LED myself. Still on the fence about whos i'm going to get though!

Sir, that option is $500.
But if you were already supposed to get it, and we have to remove it from your order, we'll credit you $50.

I'm hoping my dealership can help me with the LED issue. We have discussed it a couple times and I have done business with the Dealer President for a number of years. I'm hoping he'll be able to assist. I have looked at the window stickers of a number of other Ranger Lariats out on area dealer lots and there is no mention on them of the Halogen downgrade like there is on my window sticker. This means one of two things. Either Ford is only deleting them on custom ordered Lariats, or, Ford has deleted these from the Lariat design altogether while keeping the price the same as it was with them. In other words, if it is a dealer ordered Lariat, it won't have the LED but you'll pay the same price as if it did. Purchasing LED replacements for these trucks costs more than $3500 (each LED headlight assembly is $1666.67, each fog light is $186.17). Those that ordered it special like I did get a paltry $500 for the involuntary downgrade.

If anybody out there reading this has any suggestions, by all means, include them her please.

After just reading this I went and looked at my sticker of my two month old truck. No LED lights. LED headlights is one of the many reasons I wanted a Lariat.

If you already paid for something and then need to be refunded then you will get the same amount back as you paid . In this case you have not paid for it so no company is going to give you retail price back , only what it cost them to produce it ,LOL .

Very pleased with my 2019 Lariat. Sadly, the 'decontenting' started then with the crap shocks - since replaced. I can't imagine replacing Lariat with a new one - 2024 perhaps? Over and above the factory equipment, I added the following, mostly from the Ford Accessory Catalog:

You are getting the halogen housings.

The factory Lariat LED headlights do not have replaceable bulbs. They are a sealed unit. There is no way to install a halogen bulb in then.


Also, anybody on the Demver metro that wants them can have my factory LED fogs. I've upgraded and don't need them any longer. Free with pickup in Brighton.

I picked up an out of inventory Lariat 501A packaged truck this week.

Here's my window sticker.

and here's my lights.

Build date for my truck is 8/22, so it was made within the last 30 days. No idea how they determine which lariats were picked to get the LEDs, and which get skipped.

I've stated it before. I'm spoiled by Lariat's LED headlamps. So much so, I wish my 2020 Chrysler had come with the optional Self Leveling HID projectors instead of the (adequate) halogen projectors. Unfortunately, this upgrade requires an expensive option package......
