Just a current update to a not too old thread since it was one of the first that came up when doing a google search.
I just went through this. Local dealer quoted $360 parts, $480 labor. I told him that was high for both the part and the labor, he said last time they did one, they had to get...
I picked up an out of inventory Lariat 501A packaged truck this week.
Here's my window sticker.
and here's my lights.
Build date for my truck is 8/22, so it was made within the last 30 days. No idea how they determine which lariats were picked to get the LEDs, and which get skipped.
To...
I think the RED part is a bit misleading as it is definitely more orange, but I guess these metallic shades that really play with the light are our thing now, as it's not too far off from my wifes current vette.
It was just a few months ago, everything was base primary colors around here...
And I'm a new ranger owner. I'm neutral on the dealer as they did sell me the truck at the price as stated, but it wasn't as straight forward as he made it out to sound. After explicitly asking if there were any BS add ons and being told no, when I looked at the final paperwork he sent over to...
Two weeks later, and I think I have a truck. With my impatience growing every day I can't even order my truck, I started searching an ever wider area. I found plenty of 501a tremors available, but most were in my last color choice of black. I found a couple others, one of which is in...
Interest rates don't effect me as I could be a cash buyer if need be. My last 2 cars were at 1.49% and 1.79% so I didn't see the need to pay cash. The current rate at my credit union is 3.99%, which is about as high as I will go and carry a loan for any length of time. I'll never tell a dealer...
Xplan minus the rebate is essentially the same price as ordering from granger for 3% under invoice with no further discount. Ordering gets me exactly what I want instead of settling for what's available. I don't fault the dealers for holding on to stock to find the right buyer, but I'm not...
Last week, order banks opened up for 2023s, so I fired off my build to granger to get it rolling only to find out 501A is on restraint and I can't order what I want at this time. I figured I'll just wait until it opens, then go from there.
On Thursday, I received a customer cash back mailing...
When do you need a truck? The G6 is most likely a year+ away before they are really available. Do you want the last of a model that hopefully is the most bug free year they make it, or the first year where it seems these days they send stuff out the door before it's proven and let the first...
Dealer contacted me today saying order banks are open, but my build with 501A is on restraint, so if I want my order to go in I have to drop it. I'm not willing to do that, so I wait again.
I don't think it will matter. I haven't ordered a Ford lately, but with ram, it's just a chaotic random draw for the order they build them in once the order is in the system. I ordered 2 2022s, three months apart andthey got built 1 day apart.
And Chevy, it's a matter of the dealer...
Subaru opened up their 2023 order banks last Thursday. as of this morning, the build and price tool still isn't online yet. I expect the same from Ford.
It seems to span all manufacturers that the next model year guide doesn't become available until order banks actually open. I don't know why when you can't order a 22 at this point, but that just seems how it is.
I'm impatiently waiting as well.
