While we initially predicted your vehicle build would begin week of April 11, 2022, the supply chain challenges we’ve been up against are still causing delays in production that are beyond our control.

We understand how frustrated you may be (we are too), and we apologize for any inconvenience. Rest assured, we are doing all we can to minimize the delays and get you on the road in your new vehicle as soon as possible.

Please continue to look out for updates from us. Once your vehicle is built, we will contact you again. In the meantime, we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.


No hope of seeing my truck this mouth, maybe by the end of September, no November, no December, no let's go for one years later. 01/31/2023 maybe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So woke up to 2 emails from Ford today, about 2 hours apart.

I knew about this yesterday:

I will need to be patient about this one, though, now that it 'officially' in the shipping tranche.

I know that it is sitting in Michigan waiting to be 'chosen' for transport among all the other vehicles there.

You've been getting emails? Haha. I haven't gotten a single email from Ford this whole process, guessing my dealer put it in wrong. Nonetheless, checking the tracking this morning & it's marked as built but not shipped yet, hopefully later today

The tracker even matches the emails.

I am hoping - but not necessarily confident - it does arrive then, but I will not be able to pick it up until at least September 6 as I will be traveling for my daughter's wedding.

How can Ford build your in 5days, and mine is in production 100 + days???

If I had to guess, there's probably some specific part or option or something on your order that's waiting for a back-ordered component

thats me. only email i got was the scheduled one, and my dealer forwarded it. maybe thats a good thing. at least no depressing ones. yet

I know, Brian. I almost didn't post it because it could be more discouraging for some than it is encouraging for the group in general.

I do think though that once it enters the 'shipped' stage, it allows Ford to mve responsibility for delays from them to someone else. And that 'Shipped' does not mean it has even left the lot there. More acurately equates to the UPS line of "A shipping label has been created in the system and the item has not yet been picked up from the shipper'.

That would be my guess as far as the email. Hoping it gets shipped today for you as well!

Interesting, I am getting emails, and I have a Ford account with that email, and it shows my Lightning Reservation, but not my Ranger Order.

Yeah I have a ford account as well, and the ranger shows up on my FordPass app, but have never gotten emails from ford regarding the order, not even confirmation. Only emails I've gotten are from the dealer giving me an update here and there

They (Ford) seem to be so disjointed for data and communication. It's a good thing Ford is not in a business that requires being detailed oriented like assembling vehicles with option packages or anything like that.

Just got a call from my dealer. They know where the truck is (~50 miles from the dealer). The hold up was because the truck was shipped (via rail) to one of the local ports and was to be offloaded onto a transport truck to go to the dealer. The problem has been that the workers at the port were on strike. The strike has been settled, so as soon as they can get my truck onto a transport it should arrive at the dealer (realistically I'm expecting next week).

I had the same issue with my special ordered '86 F-150 back in late '85, the dockworkers in Oakland, CA were on strike, so my truck sat, waiting to be loaded onto a Matson container ship.

My dealer notified me of this 2 days after the vehicle arrived via rail from Ford's Twin Cities plant, subsequently my Dad called his buddy who was a big wheel with Oakland's port authority.

The truck was loaded onto a ship the next day and arrived here several days later.

My Dad knew a lot of influential people, despite the fact that he was a humble handyman for Pan American airways.

God, I sure miss him...

Well, i have only had 3 email. One saying the order was placed. 28 feb, another with a build date. And one saying it is being shipped. Should be here aug 28 to sept 5, or some dates like that. Thats it.
I am one of the lucky ones. I have a ranger. So when the new one gets here, it gets here. No rush. I doubt they can lower my payment with the new one. So ill just wait and see. Maybe check spam, or junk email?

Ranger orders don't show on the reservation page. I was told that is for electric cars.
