I want a truck. Bed length is more important to me than cab size. I’d prefer a regular cab and 8’ bed. Crew cab means I’d look at other options too.

You all must have some small garages if a crew cab Ranger with a 6Ft bed won't fit.

The last truck I had before the Ranger was a 1997 F150 heavy half ton extended cab with rear bench seat 4x4 long bed (7ft) with a home made cattle guard on the front made from 3" steel pipe. I had plenty of room in the garage for that truck.

I even pulled my 2002 Jeep Liberty with a 8ft utility trailer attached into the garage and was still able to shut the door. Granted I couldn't walk in front of or behind them with the door closed.

I personally wouldn't mind the Crew cab with a 6ft bed or the SCAB with a 7ft bed. Heck I can remember driving old crew cab trucks with 8 ft beds back when I was a teenager. Talking about long trucks.

Crew cab 6' bed is what I want
It's the main reason I don't have a current ranger, that, and the dated interior.

It will fit in a garage. It will be tight, but it will fit. Probably less than 2' of extra space around it

Not everyone has a pole barn for a garage with a 9 foot high door.

From article:
"Though not confirmed, it’s likely that the SuperCab option (the one with full-size front doors and two rear half-doors) will not be offered in the U.S. or Canada."
I don't need more interior space, I need a 6'box. on a shorter overall length. It would be impractical for me to park a SuperCrew w/6'bed in my garage, leaving just inches in front and behind; A big reason I didn't get any of the other brands, which all currently have 4dr/6' configurations.. I have no need for four full doors, either. The only explanation I can think of for dropping the Scab, if in fact they are, is Ford is obsessed with Actual Transaction Price (ATP) numbers. They can pack more profit in a higher priced vehicle.

The truck in the photo appears to have a 6' box. Looking at the overhang, there could potentially be a 5' box option by chopping a chunk off the back, eliminating the need for a separate frame. A SCab/6'box would require a separate frame. Hmmm... but a SCab7+ ft box wouldn't...

You youngsters will have to duke it out; my '21 SCab will be my last truck. I bought it because my motorcycle fits nicely in the box, and in the garage, I can walk in front between it and my workbench to my tool cabinet, and behind it to the trash & recycling bins.

A standard garage is 20'x20'. That's outside to outside of foundation stem-wall.
So, 19'-1" inside to inside. Then many homes since around the 80's have their furnace in the garage.
Then there is the bollard to protect the furnace from impact.
The ranger is about 17 foot 5/8 inch.
It's already very tight as it is with the standard garage most homes are built with in new home subdivisions.
A foot longer ranger will not fit in those types of garages.

one of those pictures showed a manual transmission! im sure we will not get that option :crying:
"Under the hood, expect the current 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 engine as well as the aforementioned 3.0L EcoBoost V6 in the Ranger Raptor. Both boosted gasoline sippers will be mated to Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission. "

This is my 3rd Ford/Mazda pickup in the Super Cab config and I'll be sad if it's not an option any longer. I always need the longest bed possible. Hell, I would love an 8' bed. 90% of the time it is just me and tools in the cab, I pull the rear seats out.

I'm glad that my home was built before the 80's and that my heater is inside the house. I keep my Ranger on one side and the other side I have an old Willys M170 ambulance jeep and a Honda Pioneer 500.

I don't have a pole barn with a 9 foot door either. In fact the 97 F150, Jeep Liberty, and the Ranger barely fit under the 7ft doors.
That's because a 5G ranger is nearly as big as a 97 F150, maybe a little narrower. Put a lift/level on and bigger tires and it won't.

id prefer the rangers to stay mid size and considerably smaller than the half tons. part of what makes the ranger great is that it is big enough but still fits in out of the way places off road or even just the garage. the maverick is not a truck and the f150 is too clumsy for for me. i feel like auto makers expect us all to be in clown cars that are tiny or huge soccer mom luxo cruisers.

i really like my current Ranger. The only possible improvement from my point of view would be if I had bought a Scab version, although my Screw was hard enough to find at the time.

It would be disappointing to me if they delete the Scab version. It would be the only reason I would move up to the 6G.

Actually a 5G Ranger is 5 inches narrower then a 97 F150 which is quite a bit. Of course the 6G is suppose to be a couple inches wider then the 5G at least where the wheels push out so the difference is less and less.

I’d say if you don’t own one now and you really have your heart set on a SuperCab you better get your order in for a 2023. After seeing what GM has done along with the already currently small sales figures of the SuperCab I’d say it’s very likely that cab won’t be offered in 2024.
