Mine was the previous gen. But the new one I heard owners were pushing for a recall for transmission mapping since it was apparently lugging the engine too.The Taco I rode in didn't have a driver side A-pillar handle.
just goes to show you can't buy class, or common sense...I have a coworker that had a beautiful F-150 Tremor. Didn't have it but maybe 6 months. Just traded it in on new Taco. WTF?
The current gen of the Tacoma has its share of issues and Toyota has been unwilling to make changes. Regarding the previous gen Tacoma, they were great trucks. I had a 2008 TRD Sport Pre-Runner and a 2011 TRD Off-Road 4x4. Both ran great and never let me down. The Toyota 4.0L v6 was a good motor. It's only issue was that it was thirsty.Mine was the previous gen. But the new one I heard owners were pushing for a recall for transmission mapping since it was apparently lugging the engine too.
so a 2nd gen? i currently own one and im selling it but not for any silly reason like you lmaoMine was the previous gen. But the new one I heard owners were pushing for a recall for transmission mapping since it was apparently lugging the engine too.
3rd gen pickups are great but that says it has a v6.. i hope they swapped out that 3.blow that motor is trash! the 22re is way betterI like these...

they are cramped i owned one but they are awesome little trucks and do great offroad its meant to be a toy or just a little farm truck id love to have mine back but sadly its long gone.....Why? That looks cramped as hell. No rear seat or storage, tiny bed. And if it's anything like the hundreds of old toyotas around here it doesn't have a rear bumper.
"She kept going until the front end fell apart." lmao indeed. I didn't even mention the recall notice I got for frame rust. Had no time for that garbage (heard people were waiting 6 months while their frame was getting replaced at the dealer) and sold it for what I paid, good riddance.so a 2nd gen? i currently own one and im selling it but not for any silly reason like you lmao
ive had mine for 6 years and beat the crap out of it harder then probably any of you will do with your ranger and she kept going did i have to rebuild the front end? yup but wheeling hard does that... reason for selling is i wanted something newer and the 3rd gen tacoma just isnt my thing... its not fast its not as comfy its interior is nice but eh nothing to great tbh
fyi that trans issue is fixed with a tune it does similar things to the current gen ranger where it shifts all the time
I agree ?your new white truck is much nicer!
yuuup i did rebuild the front end but wheeling with jeeps with 37s and running 34s puts a lot of abuse on the front end but you wouldnt know that would you lmao"She kept going until the front end fell apart." lmao indeed. oh man those are slow haha my buddy recently pulled that powertrain out of his old worn out tacoma and put it in his 85 4wd sas pickup its pretty slickI had this many years ago, glad I got rid of it. 4cyl manual... a real dog and felt like you were siting in a Russian prison inside.
