You'll notice a difference with less rolling weight but I don't think it's going to be a huge one, maybe 1-1.5 mpg?

I already get ~21-22 on the highway. Hoping to get something that doesn’t ride as rough considering I have an hour commute to work

Oh I get it I was young and broke once too. lol I'm usually one who's always looking for a deal but found many times buying used sometimes isn't the best option as it could cost you more in the long run. I'm sure they'll be fine I'm just saying that I don't trust used tires.

There has been more than one occasion where the person "changed their mind", or before I could even say anything other than greeting them, "Oh man, my mistake I brought the wrong one" , or "My bad this is a little more worn out than I remember."

This has happened with all manners of people, even people clearly well off money-wise. Trying to rip someone off with false advertising is one of those little white lie crimes people do and they can still go to bed at night and shrug it off.

To me, they look more like 25K miles. The good news they look pretty well taken care of, no odd wear (from what we can see pictured).

Even at 50% wear, the price is really good, if the tires are OK. BFG are quality tires, I have never had a manufacturing defect KO2, so you pays your money and take a spin on the big wheel.

I had the KO2's on my Jeep and they rode really good. They weren't loud, didn't humm or grab every rock in sight. I would definitely consider buying a set for my Ranger when my Nittos wear out.

Absolutely agree, I took off Nitto Trail Grapplers on my Rubicon and installed stock sized KO2’s, world of difference in road manners, mileage, noise, etc.

I will get KO2’s for my Ranger when I wear out my Hankook OEM tires.

Simple Rules:

1. No meet ups at a residence except the vary rare circumstances the item in question is large, heavy, and requires inspection prior to purchase (fridges, safes, large furniture etc etc)

2. No late night meet ups, regardless if using a well-lit parking lot.

3. If your spidey senses tingle, eject - its not worth it.

4. If the price is absurdly low for a new in the box still sealed item (and I ain't talking good deal pricing), chances are its stolen.

Did my weekly scroll through Facebook marketplace and came across some 265/70r18 bfgoodrich ko2’s. Guy is asking $400 and I “haggled” him down to $300. Says he’s only put 10k on them. This a good deal??

if they as new as seller claims and dont have any unknown damages etc. id say thats a smokin deal. I think I paid about 240 ish a tire for my ko2s. Id recommend checking the date of manufacture of the tires before handing over any cash. Any tire more than 3 years I would not buy. Any tire more than 5 years old I would not trust even for a spare unless its been in climate controlled storage.

I agree with the others that the seller is more than likely lying to you about the mileage on the tires based upon their appearance. That fact alone would be enough for me to say “no”.

Can he provide proof of when purchased? That could help give you a better idea on how much use they've had. Personally, I would never buy used.

I don't usually buy stuff like this. But we've been cleaning out some uneeded stuff and selling on FB marketplace as of late.

We list everything as pick up only, I'm not loading shit up to go meet somebody for the amount that we list stuff for.

I usually open the garage door when I see them pull up on the camera and walk out with some big iron on my hip just to make sure nobody gets any ideas. Many times it's been normal folks and not needed. But once or twice I feel it's come in handy. One dude looking to buy my Ranger take off tires literally jumped back onto his Toyota and sped off when I came out.

I always see everybody talking about the "penny" test. Why not just use the wearbars? Every set of tires has them.

This isn't relevant for our trucks, but some high performance street tires are meant to wear well below what a "penny test" will show. I've had idiots at shops refuse to rotate Azenis RT615s because they were "too worn." Only to do it when I showed them the wear bar.
