I used to work as a Toyota maintenance tech a while back. Some of these like the gear oil changes and alignment are pretty standard 30k stuff. Everything else seems to be bs.

Those “crankcase and fuel system cleanings” are just little cans of 5$ additives they drop in along with the oil change. My dealership included them at no extra charge.

EDIT: people would get fired for not checking the floor mats.

I am looking forward to the day the dealers start inventing new ways to grift customers since there will be little to service once the whole world is driving EV's.
I am certain they will invent things like "Reverse charge particle beam fluxation of stator windings"
a Re-flash of the battery bank and who knows what other snake oil treatments since they will no longer have oil changes and related items

they're trying to disallow OTA software updates, to force vehicle owners to go to the dealer to have these done. the dealership lobby has been successful in a few states of getting actual laws passed to this effect.

Those are not the manufacturer recommend service cycles. That dealer is stealing from unknown customers.

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the whole bushing thing...are they saying that meaning the carrier bearing? Most cars nowadays don't have bushings that support any full reciprocating assemblies other than what is internal to the engine (I am sure there are one or two exceptions and please forgive for my missing them such as an alternator bushing)

it literally feels like some idiot at the dealer sat down with a thesaurus and started looking up words he can change around to make it sound like different assemblies just to get that maintenance suggestion list more fluffy.

friggin' crooks.
