My truck (above post) is ready for shipping, supposedly with mud flaps. Manufacturing was delayed one week, not sure why.

It has been awaiting shipping... Date being pushed out as it keeps waiting. I wonder what is going on. Flooding anywhere between Michigan and Minnesota?

dang shipping companies. sounds like this one is backed up. Maybe they need to hire more drivers....

I learned the hard way there is a LOT of sitting and waiting during the shipping/transportation process. Mine sat almost half the time.

If you waited for the 2020 model, you'd be waiting even LONGER! Like next year longer (Jan/Feb at the earliest probably) It seems like a lot of these "I don't have a VIN yet" are due to dealers not keeping people informed. (or being lazy)

Exactly - I went by to check in person and they indeed had a VIN ...."oh, I thought I told you"...- delivery date supposedly 4 August.

Received my Ranger today, ordered Feb 12th. Since I had never seen anything other than 4wd rangers, I was shocked to see how high the 2wd I ordered actually was. It is noticeably higher than my 4wd nissan frontier that I will retain for another year or two (whenever my granddaughter is allowed to have wheels).

Terrific. Picked it up and had 250 mile trip home. Great truck, smooth, quiet and plenty of power in the Rockies west of Denver. I would also add the dealer experience was as good as it gets. Couldn’t have gone better. I will try to post pics after clean up.

I wish I had a real dealer I could go in and bug. I have an "Independent Sales Rep" that can only see what the actual company deigns to send him. In the meantime, I have called, my wife has called, and I have e-mailed all through the last week in an attempt to get the proper information so I can call and confirm my order with Ford. Had I known how Military Auto Source would handle my order, I'd have ordered from a stateside dealer instead.

So at what point in the order/build process does Ford actually generate a VIN? I ordered May 11th, was told the build is scheduled for the week of July 8th, and estimated delivery is August 18th. I've asked my sales guy for a VIN a few times and he keeps saying there isn't one.

Yours should have a VIN...once it’s scheduled, that is when it gets the VIN.

Getting close. Delivery date has moved up TWICE, originally 6/23 then 6/17 then 6/13. Order date 3/11

Fish here. Ranger del to dealer: Wed May 29, 2019. Took Ownership: Thur May 30th. Left for Vac Fri May 31, just got it in time to drive from PA to North Topsail Beach, NC. 2019 Ranger Lariat 4x4 FX4, 501A, Hot Pepper Red w/Sport Pkg, Tow Pkg, Roll-Up Bed Cover, Blk Wheel Flares. Had a great drive to NC.
