I got a VIN number and build date!

My dealer told me January 14th. Where or how he got that date I don't know.

Retail orders won't be built until January 2019, and only after "Ok to Buy" has been achieved. If you got a VIN number and your order is a retail order, then expect your build week to be after January 7th at the earliest.

My dealer sent me today the DORA for my "reorder". I lost a week due to changing from 4x2 to 4x4. A partial VIN is listed on the DORA, probably specific to the Ranger model itself and drivetrain type.

My order was placed 8/14 and now has a build date of 12/17 with an expected ETA of 1/7.

Wow 3 weeks from start of production to your dealer! And you figure at least 1 week of that is shipping & delivery.

I've found a handful that show up on ETIS that aren't working on the order tracking site.

Have you contacted your dealer already? You ordered Sept 7 so if your retail order was accepted by Ford it should be scheduled for production and have a VIN by now.

My order was submitted 8/25. Talked to dealer Tuesday and no build date yet.

Was your order a verified (did the dealer take a scan of your drivers license) order? That seems to be the deciding factor on getting the truck scheduled to build, which is when the VIN is generated.

Yes I talked to them the other day and they told me they wont know about a vin number until job 1 begins or afterwards and yes it was accepted on Sept 7th. They did order it as a custom retail order.They took a copy of my driver's license and my deposit and my email address. So I was wondering if your dealer told you directly or if it came by mail or email?
