Did the dealer make it look like new? Did you actually see it arrive? How did you know about all the dirt? Good idea on the rodent damage. I'll do the same.

They called when it arrived and went down to see it plus finalize the paperwork. It was raining and the truck was still covered with mud from the dirt dripping off. I told them just wash it and there better not be swirl marks. Looked shiny new when I picked it up. Went over every inch looking for dings or damage and only found one spot about the size of a pin head that was touched up. It's a truck and going to get dirty. Boy was I tired of waiting and the tracker didn't update to shipped until after it was home.

There is a '22 XLT Crewcab XLT silver sport pkg 4WD that I have placed a deposit on and it is due to be delivered to the dealer this week sometime, according to the dealer. I have agreed to an OTD price and like I said, make the $1k refundable deposit.

I have been tracking the vehicle on Ford's vehicle tracking website (which only works about 1/2 the time in my experience) and I'm a little concerned that "my" truck was built in mid March. I hate the idea that its just been sitting outside for so long. Will there be any issues to be on the lookout for because of this? The truck DOES have A.S.S. which I actually want, due to idling that I do quite a bit of.

I also just took delivery of a March build that was sitting awaiting shipment. The dealer did a great job cleaning mine up, but in certain spots, you can tell it was pretty covered in dust/dirt. A few minor OCD things I'll take care of when I give it a wash in the next few days.

Anyone have experience with getting their deposit back if you cancel your order? I'm not scheduled. My (Georgia) dealer said $1000 down was non refundable when I ordered and I was excited and optimistic at the time and didn't push them on it, though I'm not sure it's in writing. Of course I would prefer for Ford to build what I ordered!

Question regarding the awaiting shipment. Did the the tracker actually say awaiting shipment?. Mine is sitting at shipped on the tracker and in transit on order track app. My question is it actually moving you think?

Mine never moved from Built until after the truck was home. The dealer called to let me know it's was in transit and five minutes later called again to say the truck was on the lot. I would guess if it says it shipped than it's on its way. The Ford tracker seems to have hit and miss accuracy.

My truck was a dealer order and Ford order tracker stopped working on it. It wouldn't pull it up and even now the ordertrack.app site someone built still shows mine in transit but it arrived last Wed night.

Mine had been sitting out side for sure. They said it was real dirty when it came in.
Mine has some paint issue where it looks like something rubbed on it and another paint issue but the dealership is going to fix it. They're working to get me schedule into the bodyshop they use which is the one I've used in the past and their work is beyond topnotch.
They had got a Ford Lighting in and the front trim had been damaged and cracked.
My suggestion is to go over it a panel at a time and have them fix anything that you notice.

I would hope so, though according to my state website if I signed an agreement that it was a "service fee" instead of money down I'm SOL. All the paperwork I have has it as money down, but I might not have copies of everything. I would hope that even if it's a "service fee", if I don't ever get a VIN I would be refunded, otherwise I'm not sure what "service" is being rendered. Feel silly for not grilling them on it when I ordered, though it was my first dealership experience and it was a big deal just to get them to put the Ford $1000 retail order credit in writing.

Does Ford care? NO!!!, because if Ford did it would do something about it. Not the supply things, but about keeping us up to date. So, no they don’t care!!

Gotcha, we'll apparently it WAS in route. It showed up at the dealership this afternoon. Built confirmation last Friday morning and at the dealership today. That was faster than I expected. I'm in southern Indiana so it was only a one day haul. Marked shipped Sunday on tracker, Ford email as shipped yesterday morning and at the dealer today.

Scheduled email on March 25 for May 16 rescheduled for week of May 25 blend June 1st built June 8.

Happy for you, but come on ford. Mine was ordered 12/11/21 and still haven’t gotten it yet. You are really starting to piss me off. They lie constantly, if you need warranty work that should really be special. Just venting. Can’t stand incompetent people

Re: deposits, my dealer was upfront - no fees, no deposits. Their reason, if I back out of the purchase, they get a truck, one they'll probably sell over MSRP (They agreed to MSRP minus available rebates at time of order OR at time of delivery). He said they win when buyers back out of orders, just more trucks for them.

No reason to extract a deposit out the customer save for greed.
