Minor update for me.. inquired with my dealer about potential change from FX4 to Tremor.

Note - I've not yet received a VIN/Build Date email.

Here's what dealer said:

In looking up your order, Ford has you at the highest priority code:02. This means they must be getting ready to build this vehicle, as changes can no longer be made. The only option would be to re-order in July when the 2023 order banks open up.

Order confirmed 3.21.22
Awaiting VIN/Build Date email.

Cactus Gray, XLT, Crew Cab, FX4, 301a, Tow. At least its some sort of update.

Hello All - just sharing my recent experience for anyone that is interested.

2/24/22 - Ordered 22 Ranger Lariat Tremor through local dealer
3/9/22 - Received order confirmation from Ford
3/25/22 - Received build date from Ford (week of May 16)
5/2/22 - Received updated build date from Ford (week of May 9)
5/24/22 - Delivery

Yeah, but no VIN yet. Not sure this change to priority 02 means a whole lot. Maybe it does, I just don't know. This change, btw, seems something us mere mortals aren't notified of. The dealer looked it up.

I also ordered a 21 Ranger on 9/3/21 after someone hit my 19 Ranger and totaled it. It was reorder on 11/2/21 and has been in production since 3/1/22.

There is a '22 XLT Crewcab XLT silver sport pkg 4WD that I have placed a deposit on and it is due to be delivered to the dealer this week sometime, according to the dealer. I have agreed to an OTD price and like I said, make the $1k refundable deposit.

I have been tracking the vehicle on Ford's vehicle tracking website (which only works about 1/2 the time in my experience) and I'm a little concerned that "my" truck was built in mid March. I hate the idea that its just been sitting outside for so long. Will there be any issues to be on the lookout for because of this? The truck DOES have A.S.S. which I actually want, due to idling that I do quite a bit of.

My (Georgia) dealer said $1000 down was non refundable when I ordered and I was excited and optimistic at the time and didn't push them on it, though I'm not sure it's in writing. Of course I would prefer for Ford to build what I ordered!

Did the dealer make it look like new? Did you actually see it arrive? How did you know about all the dirt? Good idea on the rodent damage. I'll do the same.

I am kind of in the same boat, but my dealer has basically said if it is not what I ordered they will either make it right or they will refund. Make it right meaning add they deletes (LED headlights) at no extra cost. They have also said that if I prefer a different vehicle they will transfer the deposit.

I think I have also seen anecdotes of dealers refunding the deposit but asking the order not be cancelled I would assume they are going to mark it up and make even more when it is delivered.
