Brother in law felt bad that Ford couldn’t ship my truck in a timely manner so he bought me one. Was pretty cool.

Looks like it has more parts on it than the ones we're waiting for!

Pretty great looking model and do the doors open? Looks like a hinge there.

And hood struts? I see screws!

Question to the group. I'm only at 4 months since order, Lariat Tremor 501A w/ tow, has been built for 7 weeks and still awaiting shipping. There are two Lariat Tremors at local dealers that were built 2 weeks ago and are already at the dealers. Both are dealer orders, one is black, one is Carb Gray like mine, both have the tow pkg, one is 501A, one is 500A w/ tech pkg. Is it time to be concerned enough on why my order still sits, while basically the exact trucks find a spot on trains and then convoy to Massachusetts while mine still sits at the plant? Is this a clear sign that my order has problems and its time to cut bait and move on? I've gone from holding on to hope to outright pissed this morning. ?

I think only you can determine whether or not to cut and go for something on the lot. How is the price on your order and how does that compare to what you think the dealer will sell their dealer stock for?

If the price difference isn't that much - I'd say go for dealer stock. If a significant difference - I'd wait it out. At least it is mostly built. And if indeed missing only a part or two - a lot further along than some. Other variable is - do you "need" the truck soon, or just "want."

Maybe try calling Ford customer service just to check - maybe you might get lucky and get one of those unadvertised rebates from the marketing folks.

Price on my order is OK with $1,500 off sticker and I'm thinking any dealer inventory will sell for at least MSRP. I am not in a "need" situation, and with the continued delays I keep going back and forth between waiting for the Ranger to arrive, or enjoying the Jeep another summer and ordering a 6th Gen Ranger when orders open next year. My dealer just called and he is baffled. His best guess is that my order is trapped in the mountain of unshipped trucks, and Ford is shipping newer builds sooner so they don't get added to the pile, and trying to chip away at the mass of waiting trucks when they can. So to me that means mine is trapped, with no idea on when it will get freed. I've got a few more weeks in me, and then a final decision will be made.

Hmm, that differs from how my dealership told me things get handled for shipping. He told me that the dealership gets N number of vehicles allocated to them per month, and once that order block is ready (and Ford can find a railcar to send it in the general direction) they ship it out. From there, if multiple blocks are ready, they go in order that they were waiting.

Granted, being in Denver, Ford is probably very frequently sending vehicles out this way which may help the flow.

Can you share any more details on your build? 501A? Trailer tow? Color?

Trying hard to find logic why my similar build placed 3 weeks prior still isn't scheduled....trying hard not to get totally frustrated too.

I just got updated on mine too. Ordered March 3rd. 500A, Trailer Tow, Tremor, Tech Package.

Shows "In Production" but no window sticker available yet.

Your dealer may not have had any allocation left in this production run of Rangers.

I've got a Scab Lariat 500A + tow package ordered 2/28. I'm highest priority of eight Ranger orders my dealer has waiting for scheduling. But they received no Ranger allocations in April and May from Ford. I'm in no particular hurry as the Ranger is for future towing needs and I have a perfectly running 2001 Explorer Sport Trac in the meantime.

I was curious how they could get zero allocation, but I found there were approximately 6000 rangers produced each of the last few months so with 2999 Ford dealers in the US, that's not a lot of Rangers per dealer.

You have to feel for the dealers somewhat as they have overhead to cover with less product to sell.

The order tracker app shows my truck as delivered but Ford's tracker doesn't. And my sales guy is off today.

When I ordered my Ranger in late January I told the dealership that I would like to have it by September. So there is plenty of time left in my timeline, but if it takes six weeks or more to deliver two hours away how long will it take to get it to the Washington coast. ? Especially since I can’t scheduled to be built.

Great mind set to have a September delivery and they should be able to do it.
I ordered mine one day before you and it's a 4x2 Scab too. But just the XL with 101A and a two package in Race Red. BUT ... who knows what chip issues there might be between our trucks.

I decided not to do Ford accessories after following the Maverick debacles (I was going to order one but when I couldn't, did the Ranger and I had wanted a bed liner and running boards, but will do those aftermarket).

I sure hope they surprise you and you get it well before September! =)

I ordered 4-18-22. No VIN yet. Trying to figure out when I'll a VIN assigned based on those production timelines posted previously.

As I've learned since ordering, the first requirement to be scheduled is that your dealer has allocation to cover their quantity of orders. Ask your dealer what allocations they have, how many other orders they have, and the order priority (10 to 19, 10 being the best) of yours and the others. These items will help you get a clearer picture as to when you might see a VIN and thus be scheduled.

I ordered mine on Lariat Tremor on March 13, VIN & Sticker released May 3rd, and my build started yesterday on May 9th.

That is smoking fast. I ordered on 2/23 and just got a vin on 4/28 with no sticker for a 6/20 build. Hope they keep on schedule with your build.
