Today I drove my Ranger home. Over 2600 miles in the last five days to make the annual spring journey from Salt Lake City to western Maine. Combined with a quick camping trip from SLC to St. George and back earlier in the week, I have driven over 3300 miles since I got my oil changed six days ago. Had a decent load driving across, probably about 1000lbs including my brother and I. Ranger felt very planted and the ride was significantly smoother than unloaded. Due to extremely high winds (30mph sustained, 55mpg gusts for two days straight), we got pretty terrible mileage. Probably averaged about 18mpg for the whole journey. I have averaged 23-24 the last two crossings, so 18mpg was pretty disappointing, especially considering the price of gas now (averaged about $4/gallon which could be worse). Nothing you can do about the wind though. Super happy with the truck's performance, but I am looking forward to NOT getting in and firing it up tomorrow!

I see many linux here too. Very similar to our rangers. The Mitsubishi has that ugly ass curve on the bed. Ford and chevy have weird trucks that look like the maverick. Ill try and catch them on the streets.

Hunting pokeman here ???

Had a dead tree (probably 60’) break and fall onto another tree last week. Was hung up by some upper branches. Got a rope up over the top and hooked up to my winch via a snatch block. Pulled the tree free so it could fall. Very satisfying though my neighbor came running over to ask if I heard a tree come down.

That is so damn ugly. The Japanese can really go way overboard with styling and aggressive lines.

I should have posted in here when I had fresh photos from a trail last week but today I just had 3 computers in the bed to ship out to Washington.

Checked out Mormon Well Rd just outside of Las Vegas in the Desert Wildlife Refuge this weekend.

Waves from down south in Portsmouth and glad you had a good trip and good gas mileage.

We supercabs need to stick together! (LOL, I don't even have mine in the driveway yet, but it sure is on my mind! And so are aftermarket goodies stacking up in the breezeway). =D
