I've posted before, but just to update for some people who have ordered after me....

I ordered a Supercrew 6 weeks ago...March 9th....no updates beyond the original confirmation.

I'm hoping for an update any day.
Same here, No update since original confirmation on March 4th.

Dummy me just realized yesterday that I forgot to include Tow Package. I'm thinking it's best just to go aftermarket hitch or Ford's and install myself than possibly affecting my wait time and see if I can add it now.

I've never towed anything so not critical, but it's a truck and should be able to tow damnit.

Check with your dealer. I believe mine said I could change the order up until a certain point.

Also, I see we ordered very similar trucks! I love that color. Gotta assume we'll be in the same build boat.

Hmm, I updated my order three weeks later to add 101A and the sales guy said it wouldn't change the timing. I know you're later, but you could ask them and see what they say, I think I read that they can do changes up until X number of days before the blend date. (I could also be talking out my ass, but it's worth a shot).

You can modify your order anytime before getting a build date/VIN without losing your spot in the queue. (At least what was told by my salesman). Once scheduled you need a new order

Thank you for letting me know what that means and you're right, it's built and that's a huge milestone.

And you nailed that on the head! I'm pretty friggin' excited and you're so right about wanting to track it like crazy!

But your words are excellent advice! I must become Zen and one with the universe (the heck with that, let's start tracking rail cars!). =D
So much for waiting a day, I found the rail yard on goggle maps:

FWIW, I talked to sales guy yesterday and he said you can change anything anytime up to when the truck is actually scheduled (you get an email when it is scheduled), without affecting the timing of the build, other than if the change adds a part to build that they don't have.

On my first order I did the same thing, contacted dealer to see about adding tow. It wasn't an issue. The dealer will tell you if the order is beyond the "changing" phase. Mine was not, so it was added. Did not affect the process one bit. Seems like once FORD gets its parts lined up for your vehicle, they will issue a VIN, then when it gets closer to production a sticker will be created. After that, its basically in line to be built. As mentioned previously, it took my last order exactly three months start to delivery. Of course some may be quicker, and some may be later. Just depends on which "batch" of vehicles you get yours built with. I usually got my updates/emails on the weekends. ;)

Thanks all. Good news/bad news(expected news). They can and are adding the towing package to my order. My order is still showing clean with no build date yet, boo.

They did ask me if I wanted to delete the spray in bedliner as that typically speeds up the build time. Mentioned something about the build gets started and then goes out to third party for the spray bed liner and then completes the build.

That is they way I understand it, and honestly, I think if you can get it done locally by LineX it seems to be a much better product.

I added the tow and deleted the spray-in (not for the speed), but felt that Line-X did a better job prep/painting the bed IMHO. Even trade in price, so it may have helped in speeding up the build too.;)

Give it a bit more time. Once the VIN is issued, it will move a bit quicker. :like:
Yeah, that's what I've been noticing from watching other posts here. Supercrews seem to be about 90ish days from order to delivery. I was prepared for 3+ months.

In the meantime, I'm still spending money! Ordered an ARE CX cap (shout out to RunBeerFish for his pics) and already have a bugshield. Also having Billsteins 5100s installed all the way around and plan to lift the front an inch or so. Can't wait.

LOTS of pics to follow....sooner or later!

Did they say how much they'd knock off the price? Since that's part of the black package....I'm wondering if they'll still knock off the full $495. If so, I might be interested in that. I have a friend that sprays Bullet Liners anyway....

Unfortunately this wasn't my first experience with this scenario. I WAS extremely disappointed, mainly because I waited for an order, if it was a deal that fell through because of a vehicle on the lot, no biggie. Had a vested interest in time waiting . Wife just kept saying "it just wasn't meant to be".
Like you, as I get olderrrrrr I try not to focus on crap that I can't control, and move forward. Not always easy, but it is a fricken car/truck....there are others :giggle:
Good thing we both have wives that try to keep us in line! And that's true too, about things you can't control, but it ain't always easy.
