Update: module search from Ford (accessible via Order Track) finally has a long list of activated modules.

Baby steps here.

Edit: Ford’s tracker now shows “in production 04/19/2022” which it didn’t before. Guess the blend date of 04/13/2022 means parts were still being gathered for almost a week?

Hi,

My name is Max, and I am in denial about my 2022 order. *cue the standard Hi, Max*

In all seriousness, I ordered in early April, and am still waiting for my VIN email which I don't expect till at least May. My dealer said if I was lucky, I would see it in August. For an April order, does that seem reasonable?

Edit: Truck would arrive to the dealer in August, with an order Date of 4/2 and a confirm date of 4/6. I am anticipating early September, but August would be nice so I still have some good weather to go enjoy the CO back country a bit

That seems reasonable. I ordered mid December and it landed at the dealership a few days ago

I ordered mine December 27th and it should be to my dealer around May 1st if all works out. If your timeline is similar to mine I'd say August sounds pretty close to right.

Up to 42 similar vehicles with the status. Damn CO deliveries still getting held up... Built 3/30, just stuck with the rest of them.

Everyone is having issues getting a train to Colorado. It took me 35 days, but it will happen. I think some of it is just the fact Rangers come off the same line as the Bronco and Colorado is probably one of the biggest markets for the Bronco. Add in all the ice/dirt mountain Broncos that have to get shipped with Rangers and Broncos coming off the line it's easy to see how there are delays.

I think there are a lot of us on a slow train. As Gladys Knight & the Pips sang in the day, I’m on that Midnight Train to Georgia. At this rate it could have been here quicker on a wagon train. (41 days and counting since built.)

I ordered and received Ford confirmation email on March 21. Its April 20 as I write this and I've not received my VIN and build date email. I hope I get it in a day or so, it seems many receive their VIN/build date a month after order confirmation.

I also notice an average of ~3 months from order confirmation to build date, then another month after for delivery. So, I'm guessing, best case scenario I'll get my Ranger 4 months out from March 21, so end of July. Prepared for August though, hopefully at latest.

Most the horror stories I've read are from folks who ordered in fall, winter of 2021. This must've been the apex of supply chain woes. I really wanted a truck before summer, but I don't think that's in the cards.

In a few years from now, I wonder if I'll kick myself for not holding out for a 2023. Its supposedly bigger widthwise and maybe lengthwise - I don't want that. More up to date interior, bigger touchscreen - I'd probably like that. Small pee-pee 'manly' front end update - I don't like the trend. More motors - I'm fine with 2.3. I imagine the 2023 will come with a decent price hike, I certainly don't want that. I think I should be happy with a 2022 for a long time. I've got a track record of keeping my vehicles for a decade, so I hope I'm happy with it.

We ordered at about the same time. I was a few days after you. Currently hoping we get updates with this build cycle that I think updates today or tomorrow. If I don’t hear anything by Friday I’m going to contact my dealer for more info and/or the customer service line

That sounds pretty informed Max and realistic. Although, it seems like things have been getting a little smoother. I don't know what I'm basing that on, but it just seems like maybe there aren't as many "big" surprises and that Ford is able to be a little more streamlined.

Of course, who would have thought that a war in Ukraine would affect FORScan?

There are so many moving parts to all of this from the suppliers to train cars and transport drivers.

But you're doing the right thing, hanging out here, I've learned tons of stuff from how to set the MPG calculation to that 12Volt plug in the back and so much more. All stuff I would have never learned had I gotten the truck right away.

And I've found a place where members can be funny and knowledgeable and resourceful and always helpful.

Good luck and I hope you're surprised by an earlier delivery than expected. Either way, you'll have a blast with your new truck! =)

I am in a similar situation. I would say if we would get build dates this week, that would be for June, so late July to mid August for delivery, depending on where you are located. It seems the West Coast has had greater delays with the rail service as of late...

First time here. Just placed my order April 18th for a blue lariat crewcab 4x4 sport with tow and 501A. Lucky for me, I currently live in VA and moving to Cape Cod area end of June, so I placed my build with a dealership up there and don't mind the wait. I'm sure I'll get more anxious when I'm there, but I'm hoping since I don't have a crazy build it could be on the shorter end of maybe 3-4 months. Glad to be here!
