I saw this on a Facebook group. I hope they paid more attention to detail on mine then what happened here. The person did say the dealer ordered the correct panel and will replace it, but how did this make it past final inspection?

This has been posted on the forum before. Same thing happened. Dealer just ordered correct piece. But things like this, OBVIOUS things, get missed. Kinda wonder what gets missed on the smaller stuff, or important stuff?? With all this crap going on in regarding jobs, you would think the QC person would know they have a decent job, get a good pay to just pick imperfections out. I guess this person was the best candidate for that job  :lipssealed: Or perhaps FORD just eliminated that position all together to save more $$. Let's trim more stuff...idiots!!

Sorry for the rant, haven't had my coffee yet. Continue as you were.

My sales guy is so full of crap. Today he tried to tell me my truck goes on a rail car to go to the semi truck to ship to the dealership. I live two and 1/2 hours west of the plant. WTF! He says they all ship rail out of the factory to go to the trucks. Then the owner came in and talked with me. He showed me the data base from Ford. And says he has some Broncos on order and have received ones that were built after the one he is still waiting on. He seems to think they are just stacked in the parking lot and they can’t get to it yet. But did say delivery has been picking up. And hopes it will ship soon.

unless they were told to install that because they didn’t have the correct ones ( supply issue?). And to get it built?

I thought this was mildly interesting. I took screenshots of the Ford render page for my truck and you can see that original stock interior shot for the XL 101A with the ASS button and today I see they updated that image at some point to one without the button.

Looks like a possible good place to put a trailer brake controller switch! =)

And as discussed before on this forum....
Do you ship with temporary parts to keep things moving, or halt production until it is done properly.

I myself would rather wait the extra time so my vehicle does get man handled twice and risk breaking something else in the process. My opinion.:sunglasses:

Yes it is:like: I did notice the six switches in that area of my XLT FX4 (which I walked away from) did turn into a five switch panel, not five switches and a blank. They just made the top two buttons bigger to clean up the area, which I do like better, but the XL at least has an area now to put a switch there ;)

Wow, interesting that they redesigned in your example (or maybe they have that configuration in another truck or car).

So did you walk away altogether or do you have another one on order?

Correct it is showing both modules I think it's odd since I have almost a month before scheduled production week...
Wait yours is showing more than one module on there?

Mine is stuck at "G" and that's it, whatever "G" is on these LOL.

I have a feeling I'm waiting on chipsets. Been a week almost past my blend date.

Mine only shows one module but the truck has, as of today, been listed as built.

Car had damage from the dealer tech "topping off fluids" and gouged the air dam installing the front plate bracket  The hose line that they use to fill fluids rubbed on the hood edge and chipped/filed the edge. Hood has to be repainted. Wasn't offered any discount or anything for the inconvenience, so I walked away. Ended up ordering from different dealer without a deposit, so we shall see. I'm still window shopping while waiting. Bad juju :lipssealed:

I ordered an XLT so if they make the opposite mistake I'd have a hole in the dash instead. lol

Making progress

Ordered on 2/1
Original build week 3/28
New build week 4/11
Blend date 4/12
Build complete 4/18

Now I await shipment. This will probably be the hardest part as it seems like the logjam is now in the shipping process.

Same blend date and we're both still waiting. When did you get built status?
