Took delivery of my '22 SuperCrew STX yesterday and love it. Test drive around town went well, I was very pleased with how much quieter this Ranger seemed compared to my 2020 SuperCab. On the way home from the dealership (about 40 miles from my house) I took notice of what i thought was louder than usual wind noise on the highway. It was a kinda windy day, so i didn't dwell on it too much. Today going to work I again took notice of excessive wind noise on the highway. Felt around the window, no drafts or any airflow through the seals and all the windows were rolled up. Stopped in my local Ford dealership to order a part, and looked to see if i noticed anything odd with the driver's door on the outside. The window frame has a bow in it where it starts to sweep backfrom the windshield portion to the roofline portion. the entire door is flush with the body except for this bowed out part, it's only our about a quarter inch, but once the truck gets to highway speeds it gets really noisy. Let the dealership know right away, they agreed that there is something not right with the door, but can't get in to get it looked at until 4/12. Hope they can fix it, I love the truck otherwise!

i'd probably give that a tweek myself before waiting for the dealer to open up a slot.

I would do that if the rest of the door was not in alignment. It is a pretty definitive bend in that one part of the window frame, everything else is flush and lined up as it should be. I'm hoping that the body shop can just get in there and bend it back. It's not bowed out a lot, but enough that it catches the air after about 60MPH. I just hope it isn't something ridiculous where they have to replace the door or some such nonsense!

Not at all. It's almost like where that frame should curve into the A pillar/roofline it is straighter than it should be
I think it would be more accurate for me to say that there's a LACK of a bend where there should be one. that small section of the window frame should actually curve in toward the A pillar and doesn't, that's why there is that gap between that part of the window frame and the A pillar/first part of the roofline.

Well , in my dealership days , BBG. (back before google ) , once the customer was out of site , that would be a "roll down the window , brace door with knees or a friend and pull the hell out of it" kind of repair , 2Ă—4 (put a blankie around it if you must ) at the bottom somewhere to keep door from closing while you GENTLY push in the top of door frame would be my plan of attack...

I'd be just fine if they did it in front of me, I'd be interested to see their solution!

Yep! That's what the body shop is going to do. It's the easiest fix and they do the same at the factory if they catch it. We probably had to do it to a couple doors a month in our body shop as many of the OEM and A/M doors were in nead of adjustment. Don't worry, it's minor.

I would be taking it back to the dealership. If they damage something trying to fix the issue, they cover it. If you damage something, you pay the piper.
That's the plan, no doubt. Just sucks having to wait almost two weeks. At least it's not an urgent matter.

You aren't the only one. The driver side pillar on my 21 Scab is the same. Noticed it pulled away within 2 weeks of ownership. Another example of poor fitment and quality. Would not have expected this on brand new vehicle. Still yet to get it fixed. Also the plastic cover/ access panel directly below steering wheel keeps popping out.

Yikes! I am sorry to hear that! Hopefully you can get that resolved sooner rather than later. Definitely hope it's not a dealer issue that is preventing it from being fixed.

Thanks. It will get fixed by dealer soon, just been procrastinating. Besides that I still love the truck and the way it drives

So took it to the dealer today, they tried pulling on the window frame a bit and sent me on my way to their preferred body shop and told me if the body shop couldn't fix it they would have to get a replacement door. Took it to the body shop, two guys looked at it and didn't think they could get it straight, brought in a third guy and all three started torquing the absolute hell out of the frame and got it flush to the roofline. Said it was the best they could do, I said I would drive it home on the highway and call them if the fix didn't work so they could tell the dealership to order a replacement door. Got up to highway speed and that door was quieter than the passenger side. Glad I don't have to wait on a new door.
