I traded in a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee when I got my 2020 Ranger
Then I sold the 2020 Ranger and traded in my baby, a 2015 Ram 1500, when I got my 2022 Ranger
Got my bracket from Dirk, love it! The charging pad I got from Amazon did not work right out of the box, so I have to wait for a replacement, but this is a well designed accessory.
Installed the Aeroskin 2 deflector. The surface prep turned my paint blue and I freaked. Little water and elbow grease and a lot of swearing got it cleaned up. I do like the looks, hope it lasts a good long time.
Gator ETX roll up tonneau installed finally. Was a pain in the butt to install after bedliner was sprayed. Not sure if I like it compared to the tri-fold covers I have installed on my other trucks, but the 5 foot bed needs all the room I can spare, so a roll up was the better way to go.
The first thing they looked to do was adjust the hinges, but the door is flush everywhere except where that bow in the frame was. I was fine with the fix as the option they were going to go with was a door replacement, so the gorilla option was a last resort let's see if this works option.
So took it to the dealer today, they tried pulling on the window frame a bit and sent me on my way to their preferred body shop and told me if the body shop couldn't fix it they would have to get a replacement door. Took it to the body shop, two guys looked at it and didn't think they could get...
Today just isn't my day....tonneau cover missing parts, pivot tool box needs a T27 (really, Ford?!) so I have to go find a T27 bit at the store. At least
I got my damper mod done.
I'm older than some of you, younger than a few of you.
I learned to drive in a 85 Toyota pickup and a 1983 Camaro.
My first Ford was actually the first car I bought on my own, a 1976 Pinto. I hated that car so much and did everything I could to break it, but the damned thing would never die...
Do you think it would work with a pivot toolbox? I would imagine the floor is loose enough to accommodate the pivot box being in the way, but what would your real world experience tell you?
