Right behind the glove box you will find itI have a dumb question…. where might i find the rangers cabin filter? last two cars i had it the replacement was inside the engine bay on the firewall.. also is there anything out of the ordinary for the install process? thanks
Some 2020's still had the glovebox damper. If yours does you have to take that off first.I have a dumb question…. where might i find the rangers cabin filter? last two cars i had it the replacement was inside the engine bay on the firewall.. also is there anything out of the ordinary for the install process? thanks
That's because it's so much easier to get on here (or any forum) and ask the question. Heck I'm guilty of it too as I've never read an owners manual ever, first thing I do is pitch them in my desk draw. Usually I just get online and either do a Google search or jump on a forum and search there. But this subject has been beat to death several times before.

This was very informative. I reached under and easily released the damper, but then it came to squeezing in on the sides to lower the glovebox and reach the filter that's where I failed. No matter how hard I squeezed in the sides, the box would not drop down far enough to see the cabin filter.behind the glove box.
You'll get it. Seems it took me a couple seconds to figure it out. Maybe make sure the glove box isn't resting on the catch, lift (close) a little when squeezing the sides. This was very informative. I guess I have to start eating my Wheaties and working out but it would not budge. I was afraid to break it so I gave up for now.
Rob, thanks for posting this video...seems reasonable and senisble. Ordered a Wix from ebay for a total of 16.93 after tax (best price I could find)I stumbled across this review recently that seems to be a pretty objective test of engine air filters. Spoiler alert, Wix and Purolater did very well, but K&N was awful for particle filtration as many here have reported.
Dont forget that the factory Motocraft air filter does just fine too. I ran them for a while until I switched to AEM air filter(just a drop in replacement) and had no problems with dirt and dust getting by.Rob, thanks for posting this video...seems reasonable and senisble.
