How does that attach to the tailgate ?
Adhesion promoter and 3M tape. It's stayed out this long without a problem. How does that attach to the tailgate ?
Indeed...3m sticky tape most likely...
It sticks to stuff (when properly prepped)just about as well as you would want .... I really wouldn't want a "better" version of it ....too good sometimes ...Adhesion promoter and 3M tape. It's stayed out this long without a problem.
Indeed...
You had a 10 year battle with your spare tire? This is my favorite pic so far , no one will get it but it was a 10 year battle on my old truck.... Just night and day differance...![]()
Why does my phone autocorrect some words....? That was supposed to say, "stayed on", not stayed off....It sticks to stuff (when properly prepped)just about as well as you would want .... I really wouldn't want a "better" version of it ....too good sometimes ...
You couldn't get the spare off because of the design? We have a 1983 GMC Sierra 1500, as rusted out as it is, it still runs.2011 gmc serria ... Spare was never off , because of the design... Multiple flats , much anger... Would have been banned from the gmc forum if I had known about them then...
Don’t forget the one on the cab. ?LOL… the lip on the back tailgate. I like that a lot.
I love it. I really do. Can’t believe it’s not that expensive… might have to look into it.
had a "Tube " that you put the rod in through the bumper , tube was always out of alignment (dealer fix , then first pothole back to bad ) if you ever did manage to engage it ,the hoist was froze up or free spinning , even if you cut the cable from below , it had a saftey latch that kept it up there ...GM's own instructions on how to get it down are comical at best...You couldn't get the spare off because of the design? Cool! It goes over your existing one too. Directions are junk, I had to call Air Designs' installer and ask him if the old one came off or not.I love it. I really do. Can’t believe it’s not that expensive… might have to look into it.
