What dash camera are you all using?

Mine: TOGUARDVIDEO Dual Dash Cam 1080P Front and Cabin Car Dashboard Camera with IR Night Vision, 2 Channel Driving Recorder Motion Detection, Parking Monitoring, Accident Locked, Loop Recording, 1.5in LCD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BQMTY49/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_SC04PQHR3Z7191HFQG61

Second vehicle it has been in, works great, love having a recording of my driving adventures. Nice that it stays on for a while in the ranger.

Doesn't that mounting spot get in the way of your being able to see to drive?

What a refreshing cool new topic. I have been using a Garmin GPS with built-in dash cam for several years. I moved it to the Ranger from my last vehicle. I have been contemplating getting something new, without a GPS as they can be much smaller. But I would be relying on the Android Auto navigation which is extremely flakey. So until I can iron out AA to be more reliable, I'll probably keep using the Garmin for a while.

That is some great resolution.
That's why I bought this one as it has one of the best pictures. How many times have you seen on tv where they show either a dash cam shot or a store cam and ask "Have you seen this guy" and it's all blurry. lol

Doesn't that mounting spot get in the way of your being able to see t
I installed a Thinkware U1000 last year. It's a dual camera 4K unit with great picture quality. Now a days you reallynneed one the way people drive and are so distracted.

That is a worthwhile investment, and amazing footage, I would love to have something I could really rely on when it's needed.

Mounting spot can be moved but doesn't get in the way at all.

I'm thinking about getting one. I don't want to spend a lot on it an it has to be easy to use.

FYI I just had jury duty on a civil case from a traffic accident. A witness to it had a dash cam an provided it to the plaintiff. It was pretty obvious what happened without the dashcam but it helped speed things up.

Would love not to have the wires
With mine I tucked the wires in the headliner, down the A pillar and down to the drivers footwell. I'm using a ODB port power cable so I didn't have to tap into the fuse box and I can disconnect it easy. I have the parking sensor so when I'm parked in my garage I can just cut the power easily by pulling it out out. It does go into sleep mode but you're still drawing power, this way it's totally off.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Would love not to have the wires
I just used a pin-tap on the plug in the mirror housing, and mounted the dashcam right next to it up high out of the way. No cut wires or or long leads to hide, I did have to wire in a 12>5v buck converter. But the one I got is only 1"X1"X1/4" so was easy to fit in the mirror housing.

I got a Momento M6 dual camera. I was planning on going with a thinkware but found a new in box but returned M6 for half off. I’m fairly happy with it, it’s not perfect but for a few hundred bucks I can’t complain
