If you don't have the 12v outlet option, is there a plug in spot for the outlet in the main harness? I don't plan on adding the outlet, but would love to use the harness to power bed lights (when I get them). I don't like to cut/splice into OEM wiring if I can help it. Much rather make a pigtail or modify a factory pigtail to plug in.
I didn't order the option, it was just pre-wired back to the point where it could be added in the box. Check under your driver side back there and you might have the pre-wire capped off like mine was.

Thanks! will check it tonight. About where in the back was it located? Near the area where the outlet would be mounted?

Yea, about halfway between rear tire and bumper. Should look like this pic, but the two wires on one end. This is the cut version we just left the piece there.

Just put them in today...Excellent bargain and as an option one or all can be removed to light up anything as they attach magnetically. Best $12 I ever spent. Some of us don't need permanent setups for bed lighting. Just keep it simple.

Yeah I used the bed outlet one as well. Cut the plug off. It is sitting just outside the frame rail on driver side. Two wire and just has a dummy connection in the other half.

i wonder if it would be possible to find a connector to snap into this one - so you wouldn't have to cut the wiring? Anyone know where you might find one?

It kind of looks like either WPT-987 or WPT-994 - I searched on those part numbers and one is $24 and one is $31!!! Maybe I'll just cut the wires.... I'd hate to waste the money on a connector if I didn't know for sure it was the right one. Hard to tell from the pictures only.
Ok, I woke up and started reading the thread and got a wild hair. Why not just reach up and pull mine off since cut the wires and it's got the end plug. Here's what I found. Connector end that cut the 12V supply wires off of has some stamped numbers. 87-6773 and >PBT-GF15<

Googling those numbers gives some interesting results, but not sure how to find the MATING plug. That just shows th eplug you have, not the one that plugs into it. In your pictures above, is the plug to the right just a cap essentially?

Here is one from a PBT-GF-15 search - but again, it isn't the plug that would be needed.:

The more I look the more confused I get. :)

Yea, it's kinda like a cap, but it inserts into the powered end but the two wire ports are just plugged.

Are there any numbers on that plug like the other one?
