Everyone uses their truck for different reasons. Some haul, some don't use the bed, some use it as a toy, some want most mpg's, some want a lift that looks cool. I have seen 6" RC lifts on IG but saw one in person and it looked bitchin. I was like daaaang that's cool when I passed by.

We have done tons of leveling kits and the 3.5” Rough Country lifts at work (doing another Wednesday actually) most run 33-34’s but a few guys have trimmed/removed crash bars and run 35’s. After driving a few, I’ll be doing the Rough Country 3.5 on mine. They drive better than stock, align out properly and hold more tire size than just a level. If you are doing struts anyway, I can’t recommend the Rough country 2.5” enough. They ride excellent and so far quality/reliability has been flawless on all the trucks we have done. As far as other companies we have used (Fox, BDS, OME, Racho, Readylift) they just don’t offer enough upside to justify the price increase over Rough Country. Just my 2 cents.
Lol at least Old Man EMU gives you leaf springs instad of blocks for the rear. That already promotes better articulation wich is important for OffRoad!!

Daaaang! Well said. That’s it. To each is their own. I just want to be “bitchin” and have a good ride!!

Dang. I like how you simply ask about the 6" lift and get hammered by everyone else's opinions. It's your truck and you make the payments for it, so if that's what you're looking for, then by all means I say go for it. While it's true that it really won't add to the overall off road capability, I personally like the big lift trucks...but then again, in Hawaii a 6" lift is a minimum LOL!

I have a 3.5 inch lift with proper coilovers, UCA’s 33’s and an aggressive offset. Other than removing my crash bars, I don’t have any rubbing. A cheap 6 inch lift simply lifts the truck and offers no benefit of more articulation. It also looks ridiculous unless you run 35’s and aggressive wheel offset. And don’t run 20’s, 22’s etc…. 17 or 18 inch wheels look best and ride best.

I want to be able to turn my wheel completely. I also don’t like the rake of my leveling kit. I want the truck even all around. Also looking for a softer ride.

Why is everyone so anti 6”? Will the 6” give me the same ride as 3.5”?

Hell no. It's going to ride like shit and have terrible geometry.

A legit 6" lift is going to be very expensive. IFS drop, diff drop, coil overs, different leaf springs, control arms, etc.

There is no point in going with a 6" lift.

In off-road you should have the lowest lift possible to fully fit your tires and maintain good articulation and suspension geometry.

Big lifts on IFS vehicles is dumb. For a solid axle vehicle, like a Jeep, you'd need a full long arm kit and full steering kit.

I don’t off road if that helps. I just want the best ride and level truck with decent lift. Will I notice a difference in height going from a 3” level kit to a 3.5” suspension lift? Will I also be able to turn wheel? I have 4” offset with 285

A lot of suspension lifts will still have some rake to them so I would avoid them if you want level. A solid leveling strut or coilovers would give you the best ride and the most level look. Also, replace the rear shocks. It will help a lot too.

If you're set on a 6" lift by all means go for it. A lot of people, myself included, don't like them. We aren't the ones driving your truck though. It's your ride so don't let anyone tell you to do something you don't want to do. I just think that your ride quality will suffer with a bigger lift. Especially with rear lift blocks.

So 3.5” Rough Country is your choice? I don’t want to feel bumps etc… Better than old man emu?

I'm not sure why you are equating ride height to ride quality.

Your ride quality is going to be dependent on your shocks, springs, tires, and/or leafs.

If your intent is to just chill in Cook-Out parking lots, why did you bother with your current tire choice?

The BF? I’m confused on what your asking. So good shocks (I thought they were included) with 6” lift is essential? I’m not a mechanic so bear with my dumb questions

Lift height does not equal better ride. Better quality suspension components is what will improve the ride. I'm not familiar with Rough Country shocks, but I can't imagine they would be better than most other brands.

The fact is, you're fairly limited on a 6" lift purely because there aren't a lot of companies making them. If you do go with the rough country option make sure you get the one that comes with new struts. If you keep the stock ones you'll see zero difference in ride quality despite being 6" taller.
