What did you do to your Ranger today?

I also think his Ranger is an emergency wire supply for the area he lives in.
In case of the electrical grid going down, he has a ready supply of wire, fuses, diodes, blocks, ect...

Well my supplies are getting kind of low at this point about time to reorder some stuff.

I did have to fish in 8 gauge wire through the firewall this morning and that was an interesting thing to tackle when my wire insertion tool was only meant for 12 gauge or higher. 45 minutes later in a few busted knuckles and scraped hands and I got it done with some redneck engineering with painters tape.

Ended up having to run it through the passenger side firewall because the driver side firewall there was no room for my hand to get in there to assist my makeshift engineering get that damn wire through.

Did a little cross referencing found that a mild upgrade that would be a lot less than a BBK. Our stock tb is only 61-63mm the 3.7 is 68mm and the 3.5 ecoboost is 70mm. Thought I'd throw that out there

The harness is clipped into the sheet metal just beside where the wire passes through the opening. If you remove the original CHMSL, the wiring passes through a thick piece of tape. Remove that and you can follow the wiring with you hand - inside and to the left. You can pry that retainer clip out with a panel removal tool, screwdriver, pair of needle-nose pliers, something similar. There is some slack there. Once you plug in the new light, wrap the plug with some foam tape to prevent rattling.

Ahhh…..ok, that’s the path I was on but I started worrying that the clip fastened through the sheet metal might be holding the headliner in place (or serve another function) and was afraid once I popped it out I’d be past the point of no return……and getting into “Crap, my dealers gonna charge me a fortune to put this back together” territory.

I’ll revisit it this afternoon. Thanks for the input and feedback. Truly appreciated.

Hi Folks,

My Ranger had to perform some relative high speed evasive maneuvers today on the trip home on I 19. Three times we were attacked by huge, aggressive tumbleweeds trying to tag the front bumper and grill on the Ranger..... We had high cross winds and have never seen so many tumbleweeds being blown across the Interstate. Ranger handled well and we dodged all of the tumbleweed attacks. Can't say that for the semi trucks on the road....

And put the other way around a wave function can generate two particles of 1/2M=E/C^2 out of thin air.

I just pulled at that point. Maybe the harness was doubled back and taped to itself? Cannot remember for sure.
