Best Frame Mounted Rock Sliders

Hello 5G Forum,
I have surfed through lots of threads looking at what people have opted to go with as rock sliders. Personally I want frame mounted sliders. It looks like the top contenders are Shrockworks, Whiteknuckle, and RRW. I would like opinions from those who have experience with these products first hand. Ideally finding out which offers best protection, whether or not it is suitable as a jacking point, and if it can double as step. Also, for those who own Shrockworks, did they ever fix the rockerpanel/pinchweld clearance issue? Thanks.

I installed Shrockworks back in Sep. Did manage to drop on to a rock with them on one side on a trip and they did the job they were meant to do. Didn't even scratch the paint. I did not have any issue with spacing with the body at all on my install. They work ok as a step, though pretty narrow and also potentially a bit slippery when muddy, so maybe not the best for that use. All in all, I am happy with them and would buy again.

I wish I had some Ranger input, but I had Whiteknuckle sliders on my Jeep JK and they were fantastic quality. I got them in bare steel and used Rustoleum on them for easy touch ups. I don't do any rock crawling in the Ranger, but part of me wants sliders anyway as they are fantastic for preventing door dings (at least on Jeeps). Do the Ranger sliders extend past the furthest part of the body?

I also went with the shrockworks. I put them on beginning of 2020, had no issues with the spacing. I have also dropped the truck on a rock with no issues and also hit a tree stump I didnt see while making a right hand turn. No issues either time. Agree that the step is small and maybe not the best but it is usable. I like that they are full protection with only drilling one extra hole in the frame. I recommend them.

The Shrockworks are very solid and all except one bolt mount to existing holes.

I have the White Knuckle sliders and they are great. Quite strong. I've set them on a few rocks and they are holding up great. I haven't used them to jack the truck up, but I am sure it will work.

I chose the WK over the SW because the WK has 3 mounting points to the frame and they have kick outs. Kickouts were important to me. They work great as steps, but I do need to add some skateboard grip tape to the top cause my wife almost ate it hard when it snowed.

*EDIT* So now they arrive Friday!, so I either stay up late installing them, or try to squeeze in the install on Saturday along with all of the other last minute pre-trip stuff.

I have an early release of Shrock and did not have this clearance issue...what was the problem exactly?

I have the White Knuckle Sliders. They are a local company for me. I've landed on, pivoted on, and slid on these plenty of times. They do their job and I use the kickout for roof rack access. The tubing is larger than the SW from memory. Both brands are popular for the Ranger owners around me.

When choosing Sliders I would note other forums for different vehicles for build quality across various rigs. White Knuckle has a good reputation with Jeep and Toyota owners. I was pointed in their direction from Land Cruiser and Wrangler owners.

I wonder why there is a selection for stock / 1 inch lift when ordering the White Knuckle sliders. Anyone know why? And what is the advantage of a 15 degree angle versus straight out?
