i try to use fuel from america friendly companies but like some have said often it comes from the same distribution hub. around me its mostly coastal fuels or something like that. i end up at sams a lot just since they save me a few cents a gallon sams is murphy oil and they are hq in Texas so it sorta makes paying the price easier. when i had diesel trucks id get whatever the cheapest skanky bottom barrel i could find. i added an extra fuel filter and water separator dumped in power service every oil change.

My 2 cents:
1 hour to the south of me is the largest refinery in eastern Canada. Tankers with every brand name imaginable fill up there.
Based on that, I don’t believe there is a difference between brands.
I do run 91 in my truck, have never seen 93 offered here.
I spent 35 years in a fuels refinery in several different capacities.
We made everything from high octane blend stock to asphalt.
The tank farms custom blended fuels to spec for each customer from different blend stocks with different additive packages.
Some of those trucks leave the refinery with Sulfur, some with Diesel fuel, even some with asphalt.
I'm guessing you wouldn't want all that mixed in your tank! :giggle:

My .02 is I have a mid-grade tune from Unleashed - so anything above 88 Octane.

If Im near Sam's Club or a BJ'S I gas up on premium. Got Kroger points? Midgrade (89 Octane).

My favorite if I spot it is E30 (94 octane).

Cost is the driving factor. If I feel anxious I'll spring for a bottle of additive.

Mileage per $ is a small variable with those.

Available at fine Petro-Canada stations everywhere.
Duke you could use 87 octane in a VW Beatle and still beat a Taco. ?

I’m never too old to learn.

Ah.... Looking at the Safety Data Sheet it looks like they toned down the MEK to <5% of total in favor of Toluline 50%, Acetone 20%, Methanol 20% The rest is MEK, 2-Butoxyethanol, and 2-Propanol. I wonder if they had to do that to get the "Catalytic Safe" rating.
Gasoline is mostly toluene so sounds like you’re just buying gas diluted with a couple of common solvents and some alcohol. Stuff would probably give you a wicked buzz if you drank it. (Not recommended)

Didn't want to show the price eh??
No, it’s there ……….$1.67 CAD per litre or about $4.95 USD per U.S. gallon.

That's like $36 extra for 18 gallons over regular...that's a lot of beer...

I understand now why @AzScorpion is still at 20K miles... ?

There’s an ethanol plant in my hometown. Once at a party someone produced a foul smelling jug of clear liquid claiming it came from the ethanol plant and it was safe to drink because it didn’t have “the additives” yet. Nobody touched it. It smelled awful.
