Today my Ford Ranger 2018 Widetrack is going to a new home. I have had loads of fun with this truck (and spent a bloody fortune on it) but it was worth it, so I am in the market for a replacement.
Over the past week I have test driven a MG Extender, Isuzu V-Cross and a Toyota Revo, but none of these trucks had the "wow factor" They were all okay but didn't compare to my old Widetrack.
Ford Thailand have told me that the new generation Ranger Widetrack will be launched in April and available in May so I have decided to wait and get one of the new Ranger Widetrack 2.0L Bi Turbo models but this time around I am going to keep it stock. They have already launched the new Ranger in Australia and the videos online have it looking very nice........I'm thinking White

Hey Neil,

I enjoyed seeing the different modifications to your truck over the past while. Pop in and post a pic of your new rig when you get it. That way, we’ll have the “before” picture if you get the urge to modify it as well. Although, it would be kind of hard to top what you did with this one. All the best.

Sorry Neil, but that did make me giggle. Those seem to be my famous last words. I've told the wife that on several vehicles, and she just rolls her eyes everytime. :)

Can't wait to see your new Ranger, so keep us posted. Also, don't leave. Hang around, and help the new Rangers owners that join the forum. You've got a lot of experience to share.

Famous last word I am going keep it stock ? on another note why get of the current truck?
I have done a lot of modifications to that truck and everything up and till now has worked flawlessly........I used to worry especially when I was driving at 130 kph if everything would hold together, it drove lovely, no wobbling, no stranger noises just my over anxiety mind would start having negative thoughts...............Of course these were all just figments of my imagination (I suffer from PTSD) so I am now a wee bitty of a worrier. The new owner is going to love it, the same as I did up and until the PTSD got a hold...............5 months time the new Ford Ranger will be in Thailand and I will be happy to plod along with wee bits here and there but nothing done to the suspension and engine...........they will be kept stock.

I am going to wait for the All New 2022 Ranger Widetrack that will be available in Thailand in April/May 2022. I Plan to get the white body with Black trim and then........................

Marc, Whenever I went on a long trip with it I would spend a bunch of time on the highways of Thailand, 50% of that time in Cruze Control and it was fantastic............The only problem was that I was ALWAYS worried about the (Aftermarket) suspension/wheels just falling apart while I was doing 75 to 80 mph. I really had no reason to think that way because the truck ran very very smooth..............but I did and I couldn't get it out of my head, so that was the reason I decided to let it go
