Getting a Custom XLT. Bought my ranger outright. Allowed me to profit 12K cash, but counted it as a “trade” to save taxes, tag, and title fees. OTD price for a 22 XLT sport package with this deal will be 37K after incentives and negotiation. Not Including the 12k cash they gave me. Basically 25K truck.

No. He got a $12,000 discount + his negotiated price on a new truck. Lol.
I did the same on my 2020 GT500. Got paid $8,000 more than I paid for after 6 months of driving it 3,500 miles. Unfortunately I’m not going to see the tax advantage on my 2022 GT500 but the $8,000 takes care of that plus some money left over to cut into the cost of the new car. The used market is absolutely nuts right now.
