I have seen lots of people post up about wiring on a XL with out factory fog lights. But not much info what Pods work on the XL when cutting out valance openings. I am trying to figure out if anyone has installed a set and what pods they used?
From what I have read no factory wiring is in place on the 2021 XL models.
I would like to insall LED type for low power draw. Any help would be great. I want OEM look Pods with LED lamps.

Is the plastic on an XL trim truck in the fog area all one piece, or is there a bezel somewhere that you could maybe pop out? Or does it have to be cut?

It has to be cut. I wish Ford could have made it a bit more simple. I guess I can always cut it out and ad some square LED bricks. But was hoping to retain the OEM type Pods .

Given that info I'm sure there's no mounting points on the backside of the bumper? Just wondering (hoping) that they retained some of the other bits for ease of standardizing production.

If you search parts request you can usually find salvaged parts from parts request.

This would at least give you an OEM housing that you could paint to make look like new and add your own upgraded LED's. If you search there are a few pair of Lariat LED Fog lamps on there also.

If you search you can probably find the light switch to upgrade to the fog lights on the interior next to the light selector. You will need to run wiring and such but you can usually find the parts needed to at least get you started.

There's a mint set of Lariat Headlights on there right now for sub $1200. If I wasn't gathering an entire interior trim parts for a custom interior I'd jump on those.

Also its not much more money just buy the parts new. There is an inner and outer assembly bracket that would replace your blocked off assembly. You may just need to replace the outer assembly bracket. You can buy the interior switch with fogs for $65.

I would contact Levittown and see what you need. It looks like you would need both brackets and just pick up the wiring connector while you are at it.
