Installed my Diode Dynamics SS3 fog light pods today and really could not find any install videos except the one for Baja Designs Squadron lights. I found the way not to do it is going through the wheel well as per the video shows, it only works if you have your crash bars removed. There’s no way to remove that plastic panel with the crash bars installed and you can’t remove those with the bumper on, plus I really didn’t want to root around near my paint for that top bolt. They’re accessible below the bumper with a 1/4” ratchet and a T25 bit. It’s tight but all is required is to remove the bulb and four screws and the OEM light comes right out. Put in the pod, replace the screws and make the electrical connection and you’re done ✅ ???

Awesome, are those the sport, or pro version?
How do you like them?

Did you install spacers on the top bolts? I used 1/8" nylon spacers in order to be able to aim them down enough for the beam to be effective...

They are the sport version, if I had to do over I think I would go pro. I saw some fogs on another truck that made my sports look like parking lights. I’m not sure what brand they were but they were intense and it wasn’t even nighttime ??

Haha, awesome! Its probably gonna come down to the DiodeDynamics, or the BajaDesign, both “pro” versions.

I just installed mine tonight. Once you have the four screws tight it pushes it tight against the housing which makes any up or down adjustments impossible. Did you have this same issue?

How tough of an install was this?!? About how much time to do to? Decided if I should put these on my Santa list.

To get them to fit you do have to set the brackets pretty low which does affect the adjustability, I had a minor amount of adjustment but they seemed to be at the proper height and I was able to force them by hand to point at the proper level but I have the Fox 2.0 shock kit on my truck so they didn’t require spacers, if you have the factory rake you may require spacers.

Installed. Ugh! I went with the SS3 Max Fog White. And wow is that a tight fit! My hands are all sorts of scrapped up. Not a fun job. But they’re installed!

The picture doesn’t do it justice. Picture show lo beams on and then with lo beams and driving lights. They are insanely bright, I know they are angled correctly but I’m still getting flashed by a lot of other drivers.....which I don’t like...:I don’t want to the that guy with blinding other drivers.

i just finished my install and tight is an understatement. i did it just like you guys suggested, from the bottom. 1st light took me about 50 minutes, second less than 30 min. the light is as close to the front as it can. i know Diode Dynamics states they fit our Rangers, but, i would like to see a better fit. At one point i thought i had received the incorrect lights.

they are nice looking lights and i will test them tonight. Hope i do not need to align them because i do not think i can. maybe spacers is the answer. i will let you guys know.
