2022 Ford F-150 Lightning!!!!!

The Lightning is very cool! I have resigned myself to a standard damper on my future Ranger PHEV. I'm sure there will be a way to remove it. Duke (@DukeCanBuildit) will help me with that very first mod.

After we remove that damper, there won’t be much left of the truck but I’ll gladly share Dave’s beer with you Al.

30 would be border line the lower limit for me but it's better than the Jeeps 4Xe that has 20. I realize it's charging as you drive it but I'd like to see a distance of 50 in a PHEV Ranger. ? I'm sure once batteries get smaller and lighter they can get these ranges out of smaller mid size trucks. Maybe they're there (or close) now I just don't keep up on it enough to know for sure.

Ford Performance announcing Extended Cruising Range option for 2022 F-150 Lightening electric vehile. The new option (pronounced, "ek r") increases driving distances to top current industry specs.

Customers will enjoy the auto-disconnect and spool retraction system, along with the 53.5 mile cruise ability on or off road.

Availability to be determined by platinum cable supply. Reservations for build inclusion in Ford website.

The Escape PHEV has a battery range of 37 miles. Ford did a lot of research and determined that would cover a majority of daily commutes. But that is the beauty of a PHEV. Once the battery is depleted you continue on getting 40 mpg with the Escape PHEV.
