Background to my problem: I have a GSD that sheds (maybe molts is a better description!) more than all my previous dogs....combined! His hair actually weaves itself into the fibers of my cloth seats, that even Momma's Dyson "Animal' needs several passes. I have (and tried many more....) car covers and currently using a hammock from 4Knines.com.
When I mentioned this problem at the dealer and said my next Ranger's interior would be in leather, they informed me you can change the cloth to leather in an easy conversion, which fits like OEM but is a fraction of the cost of a factory leather package. No matter the color you pick, with matching/contrasting color stitching and different color "wings" are the same cost. Only logos in the headrest or shoulder area, have an additional cost.

Need advice: I am thinking of a lighter color to contrast the CPR exterior. I understand some may say the original black won't show dirt/stains, but I found a great cleaning product for my wife's 2006 Mustang convertible and the tan leather interior looks like new (even when she leaves the top down on rainy fall days!). In the photo you will see the colors available from Katzkin.
I included the color of the CPR exterior so you can see how it will contrast. I won't tell you what I'm leaning to, as not to bias your suggestion and to see what other Ranger-owners would do.

Thanks for your time and advice.

We make it a habit to buy everything to match our dog and cat's hair color (thankfully they both match each other, lol).

Agree on the black leather statement above. The black leather in our Ranger has been very low maintenance.

I have a St Bernard and a Great Pyrenees. I also have leather. It does not help much at all.

My suggestion is to get yourself a topper of some sort, put the dog in the back and save yourself a ton of time cleaning. Trucks have beds for multiple reasons. One of which is to put your dogs in.

Also, out of your swatch choices I like the darker one, far left.

IMO I'd go with black as I have never had good experiences with tan seats and kids or pets. Since you have I'd go the very bottom color in the picture as I think it goes well with the red but I do think it will clash with the rest of the dark interior. The middle one I like but looks too orange to me.

Every dog is different in the way it sheds. How about the Vinyl seat covers.
I laugh at the vacuums that say they are good for dog fur. My powered brush head winds up the fur into it. I think its really hard to get away from a dog destroying the interior. Shedding dirt and fur a continual problem. I like seeing people removing the back seats and creating a platform for the dog in the back. A little more practical on the Scab.

So cute, my dog LOVES corgis. For some strange reason, he must try to hump them all (only breed he does that to). But I digress from the OPs topic :)
LOLOL! How do we get from choosing upholstery colors to dog humping in only 10 posts???

Of the options provided, I would go with Camel. The colour combo works for Ferrari.

My favorite upholstery for dogs is Raptor Liner. We have Rangers, my German Corso rides in the back. I know I know, many will call me a communist for such.

My Red Heeler sheds if you look at her funny- you’ll see wisps of fur flying in the wind. I use duct tape tape and our Dyson to clean up my backseat.
I’m not a huge fan of leather & dogs. The seems to cloths hold up better.

I strongly prefer black leather for seats. Minimal cleaning required, and blue jean dye transfer doesn’t alter the color.
This is the exact reason I got the black. I had a beautiful blue sweater that the blue transferred to my beautiful camel colored leather couch.:frown:

They don't call them German Shedders for nothing. Awesome dogs , though!
