Ok, I vowed I wasn’t gonna drop any more coin on the truck for the remainder of the year.

Let me just get this outta the way right now. I’m weak. Thank god I joined a support forum dedicated to helping those of us with the addiction keep our fingers off the “Add to Cart” button.

Unfortunately, I think you guys need to step up your “support & sponsor” game. Somehow I slipped through the cracks here and went on a balls-out full blown bender over the weekend.

Now, in my own defense, we all know that Roush doesn’t put anywhere near enough “branding” on their trucks….and when I swapped out the wheels I lost a crucial element to the overall design aesthetic. The little red “Roush” wording on the center cap.

I think you’ll all agree….I had to do it. There was really no choice but to place the order….so I went hog-ass wild and splurged on a set of “Roush” valve-stem caps. They arrived today, so I dropped everything and effin’ raced home. Hello again Sport Mode.

I probably should’ve read the reviews, but you know how it is with impulse buys. Installation was a bit more difficult than I expected. Damn things weren’t labeled, so it was a guessing game as to which one went on which wheel. Still, it only took me about 2 hours to swap out the black plastic ones and get these secured. I may do a full write up, but I can tell you right off the bat that I’m thrilled with the fit and finish. They screw down far enough to cover the full thread….no ugly-ass thread pokies showing at all.

Honestly? I can’t believe the difference they made. I mean, they really tie everything together and bring the design cues home. I also think they make the wheels “Pop!” something fierce….although it’s tough to tell in the pics. They don’t add quite the performance boost that came with my Dee Zee damper, but I can tell they helped balance the wheels out much, much better than the plastic. No wobble whatsoever at speed.

Anyway, I’ll close with a few pics so you can see the amazing visual enhancement they bring to the truck.

And apologies for the long-winded narrative. I’m just so damn excited I had to share, despite my shame. But again, that’s a collective failure on the forum’s part to keep me from spending money…..so it’s not really my fault.

Pics just don’t do these justice, especially those in which they’re not even visible. I’ll try and get a bunch of close-ups at different angles tomorrow.

But I also got ‘er washed today, so there’s that too.

Changed the front marker lights for LED type...photos show lights on and off....

looking to get me a set of these, the orange side markers on the black appearance package were always an eye sore, noticed from the 2020 to 2021, the black appearance package also added the black ford badging and the black FX4 stickers.

I seen a bubble on one of my doors today. Noticed the black part wasn’t plastic. So I took it off. I figured it was going to peel anyway. To my surprise it’s painted under there. So this is what I did to my Danger today.

If your refering to the black area on the rear of the door posts, the black is just a heavy duty vinyl applique, and the area under is painted body color.
Took mine off a few weeks ago...better looking to me. Several others have also removed their's.

Hi Folks,

Since tomorrow, I will be in the Hospital for a look/see of my heart, I had to get things in order and one was to install the Ford Ranger step bar fillers. Not terribly difficult but a bit awkward for one person.

Not crazy about the bar masking the Ranger embossed logo though..... Depends on your approach angle.... Works well for the Chrome Package...
