Aww, you two look so happy together. Also, great catch with the ditch parrots, those don't look like they can stay airborne very long, mostly ground bird? I have only been dove hunting, plan to go hog/deer as it's on my bucket list. I think I might have to add ditch parrot to the list too. Wonder how it tastes. Thanks for the photos Andrew!

Officially, the wily Chinese Ringneck Pheasant. Introduced into the Willamette Valley in Oregon in 1881. Very strong fliers! The dog sniffs them out in the heavy cover and "springs" them into the air. She is an English Springer Spaniel after all. Strong and fast, more tail feathers than body, give 'em a good lead. Very tasty!!

General audience is a bit older around here, but my old soul fits in quite well. Looks to be you would too with your love of the outdoors and getting hands on with nature. Thank you for the absolutely amazing scenery and photo of you Seth.

Now that seems like a good time and satisfying hunt when you get to land a shot on one. Can't wait to cross that off my bucket list as well. Thank you for sharing all the info about the Chinese Ringneck Pheasant, sounds exhilarating .

You pretty much nailed it, brother. Many hours spent training and preparing the dog. It's just you two out on the open prairie. Then you get into a mess of birds and "exhilarating" is the word for it!

@Flowgod Think this fits quite perfectly with most here, even us 20-30 year olds.

Must be lovely to see all that hard work come to fruition with the doggo. Absolutely beautiful photo of the open prairie. Wow, the sun is mesmerizing on the open plains. Thank you brother.
