2021 Ordering Experience - April to August

Just got an update from Ford finally as to why my truck has shown "In Production" since 8/9. Left MAP to go to upfitters for bedliner and tow bar on 8/13. Got back to MAP on 8/24. Where it sits waiting for a microchip. Original estimate in their computer was 8/29. Now no estimate. They suggested I keep watching order tracking site or to call back in two weeks if it hasn't been updated.

I wonder if this means it lost its "place" in line when it was sent out for the bedliner etc. Now that its back from all that maybe they put other trucks that were ready to go as priority to ship out...and one of those trucks got a microchip that should have gone to you....

I'm sure it did lose its place so to speak. It makes sense that they would ship what they can at any given moment.

mine is due in 7-14 days. I've got my 2002 FX4 up for sale right now. 8 grand takes it!

Actually I just drove it back to dealer last night, so they could shoot the Linex liner.
no waiting for 2 weeks for the factory to shoot it and I feel I am getting a better liner this way

from my build date to my ship date it was only a couple of days and I had the liner was suppose to be done at the factory.

My lariat tremor went into production 08/31/21, no updates yet. hoping I don't get stuck in the chip purgatory, already waited 4 months for them to start building this

So I stopped into the Dealer today to get the order # and VIN so I could do the tracking thing and my salesman was off so the S manager helped me he was very accommodating (I was figuring to get the run around ) but it was very simple he got my folder put some info in the computer and printed it and I was on my way in just a couple minutes after some small talk.
He also suggested just to call in around the second week in Oct to get a arrival estimate if I want to know, but they reach out to customers when the vehicle is logged into the dealership when the truck arrives with the orders and setup a day to come in & sign.
My data is;
8/11 ordered confirmed
9/27 build date.
I'm not getting any factory installed accessories ( I'll do that myself )so hopefully that speeds up the loading on the train, starting to get excited.

Your decision to go with a LineX liner was no doubt influenced by this?

I got my railcar number today from the dealer, as of a week ago it was rolling through Chicago. I don't have any more updates....a while back someone had posted very specific instructions on how to get ahold of CSX to get further updates. Does anyone recall those instructions I cant find them
