And...the O-ring on the MAP sensor is too thick for the unit to fit snug against the intercooler housing. Went over to ACE and picked up a thinner version and fits nicely and I can "feel" Oring snugging in. Sent question to Mishimoto describing the issue and what I replaced OEM Oring with and asked if it would be an issue - rather find out before I restart engine than afterwards LOL!!
Yeah boost leaks are not good! If you felt it snuggly going in you should be fine. I guess there was no hope with light oil on the original one? Can you visibly see a difference in the bore size for the sensor or measure with calipers? You'd think mishimoto would be aware of such an issue. On another note, you can buy boost leak testers for fairly cheap. I have one for the many stages of upgrades my Subaru STi has gone through. Funny enough I never did use it as those cars are so damned cramped to work on. I'm not sure if the Ranger setup would allow you to use one without much hassle.

Didn't try as there was a good "pinch" of it above the rim (probably 15-20% of thickness maybe - too much "doo-lap" over the belt line

As far as bore size, I brought the OEM intercooler over and inserted the MAP sensor, slid right in. When I replaced the Oring, it did the same "feeling" on the Mishi, so the replacement was a #6 7/16 OD 5/16ID

I put black gorilla nuts on mine. Completes the blackout package
I guess I'd fit in better with the young'uns. I'm so old it's lucky I don't have chrome, fender skirts, and a Continental kit on it.

Hi Folks,

I checked tire pressures, cold, on the Ranger and the Nautlis. Being a stickler for inflation to door label, I was happy that pressures on the Hancraps were spot on....Nautlius were a bit off either high or low... So much for the dealer oil change "full" service...

Best,
Phil

Add these to the list. Unfortunately I remember them all to well.

Laugh but those things worked. Not really necessary here where the car has blackwalls.

Pops took my truck to tennis because I offered to detail his stingray corvette. Time to drive the vette to run a few errands :giggle:

Oh that could be dangerous. Like leaving an alcoholic tending bar.?
And that's exactly why I don't own anything above 400 horsies  I have few rules I placed for myself in their corvette, no laying into throttle, no ego show offs, no going above 90, and definitely no 0-60 times. I drive like a saint in their Corvette, well anyone's personally owned vehicle. Okay maybe I don't listen to myself with the no above 90, but generally I stick to less than that. Just a few times maybeeee I tested a few things. For science.

The "Slaga" continues:

Today's "fun discovery" - the cold side pipe retaining clip (what is the name of them?) is smaller than Mishi's and you are supposed to move the clip(s) from oem to Mishimoto...not today :frown:

Looks like the hot side clip is correct size for both Mishi sides.

Decided to give it the “good stuff”. Want to be sure all my Ranger’s inner parts continue to run smoothly, so put 93 octane in it. I’m going to do that for the next several fill-ups.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
So this morning I installed Tailgate Gaskets, a Swing Case, and set of mud flaps, this after running tow light cables, installing diodes and a 2>3 converter in the tail light housings, along with removing the tow hooks and installing the BlueOx base plate tow adapters. Next month a BakFlip T-Cover.
