Hi folks,

I've searched and only found a few results in regards to 295/70/17 tires. Most of the stuff I've come across is the bread and butter 285/70/17.

I'm planning on getting BFG KO2s in 295/70/17 (33.3" diameter) and they'll be mounted on 17x8.5 ET-10 wheels, and I have Fox 2.5 Coilovers. I'll cut the crash bars out, but should I have any problems fitting these tires up? Can I fit this size in the spare wheel well?

Pictures with 295/70/17 tires are welcome of course.

Don't forget to cut your fenders to! With that kind of Offset you are going to run into those quite a bit! Don't run near as much of an offset and you may be able to get away with it.

I have 275/70 DuraTrac on Black Rhino 18 x 9.5 with -.18. I have cut my bars and I rub the felt fender liner when I am at full turn. I have not gone off road yet but I will find out in the next week or two...

This is very close to the OP.

OP just slightly farther with +.09" outer sidewall and +.05" on the radius.

I have a 295 /70/R17 Nitto Grapphler on a 0 offsets fuel wheels. I had to do some trimming, the crash bars where deleted, the plastic box behind the front wheel were deleted and did some felt cutting but not necessary. I still have some rubbing on the fog light housing at full lock. BTW my front FOX performance coil over was adjust close to 2.75 inch.

Thank you for the info! When you say the plastic box behind the front wheel, what are you referring to? For the fog light housing and felt, I'm assuming you're referring to the pictures below circled in red?

Your second pics, has a plastic that block the crash bar. It's easy to take out, mine had 4 bolts and you don't need to cut the bars. I cut the bars cause I didn't know how easy to remove the plastics block. The 2 bolts closer to the fenders flares are at an angle. The 3rd pics I attached is where I cut the felts but you don't need to cut that either. I'll find the post here that one of the member had, it came out clean for him.

I've been running 295 70 17 Cooper SST Pro's on 17x9 -12 offset since may of 19. Check out my post on what to do.
HBird, check Stangman570 post, I'm glad he replied to yours. His the one that gave me insight to the 295s.

I wasn't sure how will the Ranger react to the big tires but no issue with Horse power and torque. It handles it well. I'm thinking about running a Ford Tune later on, though.

Thank you! I'm planning on gutting the crash bars this weekend so I'll get those plastic blocks as well.

Yours was like one of the only ones I came across that had good info when I initially searched. Found it and book marked it! Thank you!

For both of y'all, were you able to fit a same size spare underneath?

I have same size spare tire but it's on the bed of the truck. I only take the spare when I go off roading.
