I searched and see most people are having work done by shops with vehicle lifts. I want to know if anyone has experience with jacking up and placing the truck on 4 jack stands? I have plenty of experience doing this with small cars but am wondering if there are some do's and don'ts with getting a truck off the ground and where to place the stands. I want to remove all four wheels at the same time so I can coat all of my calipers and disk hats simultaneously. Thanks in advance.

Well, the information about "stay in neutral mode" and car washes is certainly good to know...I wonder if they can really deny a warranty claim for something in the jacking guide that isn't in the owner's manual?
Automatic car washes usually tell you to put your car in neutral. Stay in neutral mode seems to be specifically for getting out of the truck and leaving it in neutral; I for one won't be getting out of the truck while I'm in an automatic car wash. :)

We have them both ways around here; the quicky places you just stay in the car, and if the automatic is the start and then they hand detail you usually get out and wait. So what happens if you just put it in neutral and get out? The car explodes? :surprised:

Thanks RangerDanger for the link.

So based on the feedback so far I guess I'll be the first to manually place the Ranger on jacks;)
