I have used the Mud/Ruts setting on my FX4 Terrain Management. It does change shift points and throttle response but also as others have said changes how the traction control system responds to various conditions. I took it down a some extremely rutted, sticky wet muddy roads both with 4-HI...
MPGs are always average. No vehicle has one consistent MPG rating. If you measure the amount of gas you put in and then divide by the amount of mileage that gas gives you then you are going to get the average MPG, whether it's 5 samples or 500 samples. The more samples you take the more...
The pump tells you how many gallons you filled up. Miles driven since last fill-up divided by gallons metered at the pump = miles per gallon. You don't even need to fill the tank the same amount consistently to use this method, as long as you track how much you put in at the pump every time.
Just so you know, you can get the owner's manual for free in PDF from the Ford website. I am pretty sure there is a thread around here somewhere with the manual attached, too.
@Pioneer74 says your truck is on a train moving through New York, mine came through that way as well (I'm up in NH). I'm willing to bet that it will show up on UR's tracker very soon. It only took about a day for it to get from NY to Ayer, MA and once it's on the ramp in Ayer it's in United...
Well it's mud season up here in New England, when nearly every dirt road turns into a rutted muddy mess and can't be navigated without a 4x4 and you can do plenty of "off-roading" on otherwise perfectly normal (dirt) roads. I took my Ranger down a few this weekend and had a blast. I didn't...
I'm not generally a fan of the chrome package but I have to admit that chrome bumper with the hot pepper red paint does look real nice. :like:
The lift kit and tires are a nice upgrade, I'd like to do the same to mine (as just about half of everyone here has) and it'd have been great to roll...
They don't build them in VIN order so unfortunately this is not a great metric.
edit: welp, guess I should have read the rest of the thread before replying because @RedlandRanger beat me to the punch.
Took mine home today; ordered November 14, build date was 3/11 and it arrived at the dealership Saturday. I would have taken it home sooner but I had the dealership taking care of a spray-in bed liner for me and the Line-X shop wasn't able to get the truck in until this morning. It's a pretty...
Automatic car washes usually tell you to put your car in neutral. Stay in neutral mode seems to be specifically for getting out of the truck and leaving it in neutral; I for one won't be getting out of the truck while I'm in an automatic car wash. :)
That's because Ford prioritized those two appearance packages at the factory; nearly every member here who ordered their Sport package got their Rangers before anyone who ordered without an appearance package. All the trucks I've seen on dealership lots have had the Sports package too.
Not to mention Amazon's entire business model revolves around logistics. Freight shipping is different than retail package delivery.
Ford makes trucks. I don't blame them if they can't get down-to-the-minute updates on every truck out there across multiple freight shippers; it's simply not in...
No idea if they deliver everywhere in New England but it's likely. Right off the bat I can tell you my truck and others at my dealer came off ramp 04, it will say the ramp number on your window sticker (mine was RA04). It was a little tricky to get to the point where I could track it but this...
Yeah, the mobile site doesn't update correctly because of caching and I couldn't figure out a way to make it work; the desktop browser version cahces too but it can at least be forced to refresh. Mobile site still shows 8 days to deliver for me even though my truck was delivered this afternoon...
Once the truck is out of Ford's hands, the tracker is only an estimate. Based on my own experiences this week, the tracker uses whatever ETA is used in the system of record for whatever freight service is doing the deliver. My Ranger was shipped via rail on Norfolk Southern to my local area...
Love how this is left out of the Ford owner info site I linked to, which states all 2017 and newer models get 5 years. :like:
Thanks for the clarity, though I'm still confused. Is the 4G service separate from FordPass Connect? Does FordPass Connect use the same telematics system as the 4G...
