My wife and I always park away from the crowd, but close enough to not make it look like we are. I can walk. I absolutely hate the arsehole who take up 2 spots. Makes me want to f-up their car just on principle, but I don't.
Yup that is what I plan on doing, I won't take two spots but definitely moving further away.

I feel for ya OP, I remember as a small boy in the 70's my dad had this POS Scout II that he lovingly turned into a beautiful machine. He painted it in our garage with Imron pearlescent purple. Wasn't a wave or ding on it, he was pretty proud of it with the chrome side pipes and mag wheels especially made for the disk brakes on it.

We went to the store one day and when we parked this lady parked right next to my side and flung the door of her POS station wagon right into the door before we even got out. He said something to her and she let out a bunch of new words that would get me into trouble when I repeated them at later dates.....My dad told me to get in the back seat, laid across the front and two footed his door into her car, caved that door in good, she just stood there while we drove off. That was one of those times I was instructed to " not tell mom " what happened ( I have several of these memories, all good too ). He had the door repainted by the end of the weekend.

Hahaha, that was a good story. Times have changed, can't be a cowboy like your pops these days.

Brandon, sorry this happened to you. Parking far away doesn’t always prevent this though. A few years ago, I had just bought my new Hyundai Accent and I was very proud of it and careful with it. Went to Walmart one day and parked way away from anyone(near the end of the isle). When I came out, someone had rammed a buggy into the side of my car and there was a huge dent and black spot. I was soooo upset! There were no cars parked anywhere near me and I felt this was purposefully done, for whatever reason (but perhaps not).
On a brighter note, I have had my Ranger two years and so far not a scratch. The other day, I was at the grocery store and parked with a buggy corral on one side and hoped no one would hit the other side with their door. As I got out, I slammed the door into the corral rail. I was so upset and afraid to look at my door.? Amazingly, nothing. Not a scratch or dent. Some things are just a mystery.
Hope yours gets repaired soon and never happens again!:)

Yes any vehicle you proudly drive it hurts very much so to see damage to it. Perhaps purposefully or not, it still is lame indeed. So glad when you did the hurting it came out unscathed :) thank you for the story and sweet comment.

I was walking to my truck a few weeks ago and saw the woman fling her door open into my truck. I heard it from 3 cars away with hearing aids ? She got my side step good. I saw the dent in her door edge when she pulled out. I knew at that moment she took the damage and not me. The look I gave her would have peeled paint. Karma baby!

Hope your fix comes at a reasonable cost or better the nicer flares.
After her Dent Repair 101 course...

Hm, maybe that would have been an easier Master's thesis than the one I actually did.
I would like to see one on "The psychology of r5g Money Pit victims"

I got an easy answer and it is all causal without a doubt, it’s Dave’s fault for this assault on my wallet @AzScorpion

don’t matter where u park. They always seem to find you. I just Try to buddy up with someone with a nicer car lol.
But seriously, I had some one hit my car cause they were cutting through the lot instead of driving around empty spots.

Sad to hear about someone hitting your car in the past. People just do all sorts of things that end up swiping someone -.-

I've owned allot of disposable cars over the years, and even then I parked away from everyone. Most of my scrappers could take a dent or two and it would disappear into the mix, but just the ignorance of someone doing it and not leaving a note is far more aggravating than the actual damage.

Haha blend into the mix, funny. Yeah it’s the hit and run aspect of it all but whatever. It is what it is. Pinstripes and rock chips by my own fault/use off-roading, no biggy. Inflicted damage by others? Terrible.

Wow Brandon sorry this happened to you! I always park way out in the back of every parking lot but it never fails someone with a junker looking like Sanford & Son always seems to find me and park right next to me.

Look on the bright side this will give you an excuse to spend some more money on mods and if you need a discount code you know who to go to for the hook up. ? I didn't want to bring this up but if had put that damper on it might have scared the SUV from parking so close to you.

I didn't read every comment and I'm sure someone mentioned this already but did you check to see if there were any cameras around? This is one of the many reasons I bought a dash cam. Hmmm Come to think of it you might need one of those too! ?

I'm just trying to make you laugh buddy and I really hope you can get it fixed cheap and find the SOB that did this. Good luck! :)
