I would try the PDR guys. If they can't get the crease right cover with flares.

For your build I'd suggest the Roush flares. They come molded in magnetic grey, are big enough to cover the crease, and you get a rear side marker. Stage 3 has 'em I think.

Ohh, and that's some bullshit. A good reminder to stay away from others.
Appreciate the help. I actually got another quote from another repair specialist and they sent me to the PDR guys saying they specialize in this lol..

I'm not sure it was that hard. I put a dent in my truck over a year ago when I opened the door of my 73 Capri into it. I did not hit it very hard but it put a visible dent down low. These panels are VERY thin and dent really easily.

I'd echo what others said about paintless dent repair. I asked a local about my dent and he was thinking in the neighborhood of $400 to fix it since he had to remove a bunch of trim, etc - I've lived with it -it doesn't bug me that much.
Yup, it seems that will be the cost.. Thank you for the input. Perhaps I just wanted to paint the person as evil as they just left without anything but it is what it is. Won't remember the 400$ down the line eventually.

That does suck Brandon. The sad part is these assholes breed little asshoIes. I 3rd the suggestion on the paintless dent repair. I let one fix my 2004 Lightening that caught in hail storm. There was dents everywhere, even places I didn't thing it would work. I was quite surprised. Also, check with your insurance. It may pay through the comprehensive portion of your policy.

It certainly doesn't make it right - if I had put a visible dent in someones vehicle I would either wait for them to return or leave my contact info. But we live in a "me first" world, so not everyone is so nice.

Good luck with whatever happens. I've had my truck for over 2 years now but I still tend to park way out in the parking lots to try and prevent stuff like this - like I said the panels are really thin (I'm pretty sure it is to save weight). When you compare the doors on my 1973 Capri (which weigh probably 80 lbs) to the doors on the Ranger it is QUITE a difference.

Looks a little high for a car door... runaway shopping cart maybe? The cart collection boys may have taken the evidence away.

It was almost 2 decades ago, but I was sitting in the drivers seat of my wife's car waiting when out of the corner of my eye I noticed a rolling shopping cart. It was gaining speed... and heading right for her car door on her newish car. I let out a slow motion NOOOO that would have put Darth Vader to shame. I tried to get out of the car and run around to the other side to prevent impact but could not get there in time. The cart had ramming speed from a combination of a slight downhill and wind and left a huge dent. I actually watched the cart go a little airborne after impact, it hit so hard.

Oh yeah, and I remember the car next to me, an older model SUV mercedes. I am sure that was the spawn of an asshole. I wasn't sure if insurance would cover this but it is always good to check. Thank you for the suggestion, and wow PDR works some magic huh.

I dont know about you, but I have $0 comprehensive deductible with my insurance. If you have a decent comprehensive deductible, that will be the cheapest route. Comprehensive claims do no raise your rates.

Ahh forgot to mention the model of the car parked next to me was a SUV mercedes white, even left its white paint on it. Haha funny story as sad as it is. Sometimes we can't avoid everything in this world we live in :p

I was worried it would raise my rate, I will talk to my insurance. I recently switched from AAA to allstate and I may regret that because AAA customer service never failed me, beyond excellent.

If they put it under your collision coverage, it will affect your rate. Comprehensive won't though.

Update from PDR guys, it will be a little lower than the previously quoted 350-400$ by different dent repair guys but will continue searching around. This seems to be the better route. Appreciate all your responses.

I know allstate offers $0 comp, because thats who I have. If yours isn't $0, Id recommend asking what the change would cost. Comp coverage is amazingly cheap.
That is very awesome to hear, overall how has your experience been with allstate regarding most things? First time switching to any other insurance company.

Brandon, I hear you. Parking lot dings are frustrations that irritate owners who like to keep the cosmetics nice and the repair bills down. A lady in a big Lincoln with heavy doors slammed her door open and messed up a nice sports car  I owned as a young guy. Another time, an out of control shopping cart on a steep lot nailed my driver's side on another vehicle. I look for outward areas of a lot that is not too isolated where vandals can work and then park at an angle to try and fend them off :)
